Betting in-play is the ability to place a bet on an event

Football in-play is one of our most popular forms of
in-play betting – and it’s no surprise as we price up over 100 markets
during a game. You can trade on markets such as Total Goals or Corners right up
to the final whistle. This gives you the opportunity to watch the start of a
game to see how it is shaping up before deciding to get involved.
It also has the massive advantage of allowing you to take a
profit on a bet during a game if things are going your way. For example, if you
had bought the bookings at 50 (Spreadex predicted around 5 yellow cards at 10
points a yellow card) and there were 5 yellow cards handed out in the opening 20
minutes of a fractious affair, the spread might be trading at 100-104
meaning you could now sell at 100, netting a guaranteed profit of 50 times
your stake.
On the opposite side, maybe you had bought Total Goals at
2.4 at the start of the game and it turns out to be a dire, dull game, You could trade out of your bet at, maybe,
1.6 30 minutes in, thus limiting your loss to just 0.8 times your stake
instead of possibly 2.4 if it ended up scoreless.
