How can I watch Portsmouth v Arsenal? Live on TNT Sports 1 from 1:30pm.
Portsmouth have a proud FA Cup pedigree, having won the competition twice. Their most recent success came in 2008, when Harry Redknapp led Pompey to a memorable 1–0 victory over Cardiff City. The winning goal was scored by Nwankwo Kanu, who played for both Portsmouth and Arsenal during his career, securing his place in Pompey folklore. This current Portsmouth side will be eager to emulate that achievement, but they face a daunting challenge as they welcome Arsenal to Fratton Park, with the Gunners among the favourites to lift the trophy this season.
LOSS: Bristol City 5-0 Portsmouth. Thursday 1st January 2026.WIN: Portsmouth 2-1 Chelsea. Monday 29th December 2025.DRAW: Portsmouth 1-1 QPR. Friday 26th December 2025.
Arsenal also boast a formidable FA Cup record, having won the competition a record 14 times, underlining their status as one of the tournament’s most successful sides. The Gunners last lifted the trophy in 2020, when Mikel Arteta guided his team to victory at Wembley, continuing the club’s long-standing affinity with the competition. With that pedigree in mind, Arsenal will travel to Fratton Park confident of progressing, but mindful of the unique challenge posed by Portsmouth, whose famous atmosphere and cup heritage make this a potentially tricky test despite the difference in league status.

Arsenal are the favourites to win this tie, priced at 2/9 on Spreadex’s fixed odds market (1/5 on our 2 Up early payout Match Odds market) with hosts Portsmouth priced at 10/1 (9/1 on the 2 Up early payout market) and the draw at 11/2.
Arsenal boast the best defensive record in the Premier League this season with their defence being breached just 14 times in 20 games. They have also won their last five league games in a row whilst Portsmouth lost their most recent outing 5-0. The Gunners are heavy favourites to win again on Saturday and are priced at Evens to win the game to nil.
Our football spread betting prices have visitors Arsenal as the favourites with a Goal Supremacy quote of Arsenal/ Portsmouth (h) 1.85 – 2.05. This means a 'buy' bet at 2.05 would need an Arsenal three goal win to start turning a profit (e.g. three goal win would win 0.95x your stake, four goal win would win 1.95x your stake etc.).
A 1.85 'sell' bet would need either a one goal Arsenal win, draw or Portsmouth win to turn a profit (e.g. one goal Arsenal win would win 0.85x your stake, draw would win 1.85x your stake and a one goal Portsmouth win 2.85x your stake etc.).
Our spread betting Total Goals line is 3.2 – 3.4. So a 3.4 'buy' bet would need at least four goals to be scored in the match to start turning a profit. Conversely, a ‘3.2’ sell bet would need three goals or less to be scored in the match to turn a profit.
Remember that with spread betting, get the bet wrong and losses can exceed your stake/deposit. E.g. a 3.4 'buy' Total Goals bet would lose 3.4x your stake if the match ended 0-0. In the 2.05 'buy' Supremacy bet example above, if the game ended a draw the bet would lose 2.05x your stake. If Portsmouth won by one goal then it would lose 3.05x your stake etc. And in the 1.85 'sell' Supremacy example above, the bet would lose 0.15x your stake on a two goal Arsenal win, 1.15x your stake on a three goal Arsenal win etc.
Price Boosts are typically available on the Spreadex website the day before the game, so it’s worth checking back closer to kick-off for enhanced odds. In addition, Spreadex also features ‘Popular Bet-Builders’, specially curated by their in-house pricing team to highlight fan-favourite betting combinations.
The last time these two sides met the game ended in a 2-0 away victory for Arsenal back in 2020. Eddie Nketiah and Sokratis Papastathopoulos goals that day combined to just 96 minutes. This time round the Total Goal Minutes market has a spread of 160-175.
Remember that with spread betting, get the bet wrong and losses can exceed your stake/deposit. So for example if the game had two goals and they were both scored in the 90th minute a ‘sell’ at 160 would lose 20x times your stake.
Spreadex offers a wide range of football spread betting prices on Portsmouth v Arsenal, as well as traditional sportsbook/fixed odds prices.
