Daily Spread Betting Round-up
There were plenty of big sporting events over the weekend and we have picked out three big winning spread bets from the glamorous locations of Las Vegas, Florida, and Dundee!
Hull KR’s topsy-turvy start to the season continued at the weekend as they were battered by Leeds in Las Vegas. An opening day defeat to newly promoted York preceded a dramatic, thrilling, World Club Challenge win over Brisbane Broncos at the home of their rivals from across the River Hull.
Saturday’s defeat over Leeds may not have been the biggest surprise in terms of the result – the Rhinos had a winning record over the quadruple holders last year – but the severity of the scoreline certainly raised eyebrows.
With former Hull FC man Jake Connor assuming the role of tormenter-in-chief and Maiak Sivo running riot, the Rhinos bulldozed their way to a 58-6 win in Sin City. There were plenty of big winning spread bets for those who sided with the Rhinos, but one of the biggest came in the Winning Margin x Total Points spread.
The spread was 562-706 before the match kicked off in the spiritual home of gambling, but with there being 64 points and a 52 point winning margin, the spread settled at 3328 as buyers won.
The weekend’s golf once again saw Shane Lowry throw away a title that should have been his, as a late collapse in the Cognizant Open saw Colombian Nico Echavarria triumph in Florida.
It was a third PGA title for Echavarria, but he was a big outsider ahead of the event, with his Finishing Position (No Max) spread at 51-56 before the players took to the course at Palm Beach Springs.
Back-to-back double-bogeys from Lowry on the 16th and 17th of the final round certainly helped Echavarria’s cause, but the Colombian had played well to put himself in a position to capitalise, with his previous PGA Tour win coming in Japan back in 2024.
With Echavarria lifting the trophy, a finishing position of 1 left sellers winning 50x their stake.
The Scottish Premiership has established itself as a home for late drama this weekend and there was plenty of that over the last few days. Celtic’s late penalty earned them a point at bitter rivals Rangers, with the Bhoys cheering nearly as loud as the Jambos who celebrated Hearts going into the closing stages of the season with a six point gap to second.
Hearts’ Edinburgh rivals Hibernian were also involved in a thriller as they drew 3-3 away to Dundee on Saturday. Trailing 2-1 until Ante Suto levelled things up in the 84th minute, Hibs looked to have gone on and win it courtesy of Owen Elding’s powerful 89th minute header.
However, the hosts roared back thanks to a Cam Congreve screamer in the 95th minute to ensure the points were shared. It was a result which dented Hibs’ European hopes, but there were no dents to Total Goal Minutes buyers’ wallets as they came away with a healthy profit.
Before kick-off in Scotland, the spread was 130-140, but a flurry of late goals saw the spread settle at 363 as buyers won 223x their stake.
