As always in our daily betting blog, we run through some of the biggest spread betting winners from the weekend!

2026 WORLD CUP ROUND OF 16 - MEXICO v ENGLAND: GOALS x CORNERS x BOOKINGS (SETTLED AT 5,250)

We start with the World Cup action and a night of excitement and drama at the Azteca Stadium in Mexico City as a weather delay caused the kick-off to be pushed back to 2am GMT, but those staying up into the early hours were treated to arguably the best match of the tournament so far.

The first half sprang into life and the tone was set as Declan Rice received a yellow card after just one minute and a quickfire double from Jude Bellingham looked to have set England on their way to a comfortable win, but Mexico hit back through Julián Quiñones to go into the break just a goal behind.

The second half was perhaps even more action-packed, as the Three Lions quickly went down to ten men after a VAR review on Jarrell Quansah's tackle. However, England actually extended their lead to 3-1 after a Harry Kane penalty, before Mexico hit back with a penalty of their own from Raul Jimenez after another VAR intervention.

England held on to secure the famous win at a formidable stadium, but where did punters find profit? In terms of spread betting, buying punters managed to score a monumental return on our Goals x Corners x Bookings multi-market. Based on the initial 90 minutes, a total of five goals, 14 corners between the sides and 85 booking points (6 yellow cards, 1 red) meant a make-up of 5,250 from a starting spread of 570 - 650, and a 4,600x return on 'buy' bets!

F1: BRITISH GRAND PRIX- CHARLES LECLERC RACE WINNER (SETTLED AT 25)

In the F1 betting action, a highly eventful British GP at Silverstone culminated somewhat disappointingly for several British drivers vying for the win, including Mercedes' George Russell and Ferrari's Lewis Hamilton, but it was ultimately the latter's teammate Charles Leclerc who grabbed the glory for the Prancing Horse.

Championship leader Kimi Antonelli and four-time World Champion Max Verstappen were in-race casualties who had to retire from the action, and a late safety car provided some additional excitement in the closing stages.

For F1 spread bettors though, shrewd buy bets were rewarded on the Charles Leclerc market. With a pre-match spread of as low as 1.5 - 2.5, a settlement of 25 meant a return of 22.5x on opening buy stakes!

WIMBLEDON: ZIZOU BERGS v ARTHUR FERY - TOTAL POINTS: (SETTLED AT 359)

Finally, we round off on the Wimbledon tennis action as Great Britain's Arthur Fery staged a remarkable comeback against Belgium's Zizou Bergs to progress to the fourth round.

In a match where Fery was down by a set twice and behind 4-1 with a double break in the fourth set, and then 4-1 down again in the decider, the Brit managed to win set four and five in dramatic tie-breakers to secure an unlikely victory.

For tennis punters who decided to buy on our Total Points market, some handy profit was to be made with a settlement of 359 from a starting spread of 244 - 251, meaning a return of 108x stake on buy bets!
