Daily Spread Betting Round-up
It was another busy weekend for our online spread betting punters and we have scanned through the results to see where they landed some big winning bets.
Please remember spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit. They may not be suitable for everyone so please ensure you fully understand the risks involved.
Sellers on the 1st Chelsea Goal Minute spread won 45.5x and 38x their stake against Fulham and Brighton respectively and they were back in profit again on Sunday.
It took just two minutes for the London derby to ignite with Morgan Rogers scoring his second goal since making a big money switch from Aston Villa. This time, a well-placed volley evaded the despairing dive of David Raya to send the away end into ecstasy.
Chelea would go on to lose the match, but that was no concern for sellers at 57.5-60.5 who banked 55.5x profit.
There is unlikely to be a sportsman on the planet waking up in a better mood on Monday than Kimi Antonelli after the Mercedes driver ended the 60-year wait for a home winner at the Italian Grand Prix.
Starting way back on the grid after a penalty for using too many engines this year, the general feeling was that Antonelli might be able to finish fifth or sixth, with teammate George Russell looking to eat into his lead atop the Drivers’ Championship.
The young Italian had other ideas, and he sliced through the field to soon be on the tail of Max Vertsappen and Russell who were the leading duo. A few laps later, Verstappen dropped off the pace, and it seemed a matter of time before Antonelli went in front, and he eventually overhauled Russell with a few laps to go.
Beforehand, our Antonelli Race Index spread (100 1st, 80 2nd, 60 3rd, 40 4th, 30 5th, 25 6th, 20 7th, 15 8th, 10 9th, 5 10th, zero makeup for all other drivers) was available to trade at 27-31. A memorable Monza masterclass saw the spread makeup at 100 as buyers won 69x their stake.
Australia claimed the Puma Trophy for a series win over Argentina at the weekend, although they would have expected a better result than the draw which played out at the foot of the Andes.
Leading 14-0 and looking in good nick, the match flipped on its head as Australia capitulated to go into the break level. Having won the game once, Les Kiss’ side went about rebuilding their lead, only to be pegged back again, with the match ultimately finishing 28-28.
It was a great outcome for sellers on the Winning Margin x Total Points spread at 694-864 as they pocketed a maximum win of 694x their stake.
Please note that these are examples of winning bets from the past week, and it is important to remember that spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit.
