Weekend's Big Winning Bets 09.03.26

landing-page-weekend-090326

There were plenty of thrills and spills over the weekend and we have reviewed the last few days’ online betting action to pick out three big winning spread bets.

Please remember spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit. They may not be suitable for everyone so please ensure you fully understand the risks involved.

SCOTLAND v FRANCE – MATCH CROSS-POINTS (SETTLED AT 2000)

Scotland kept their Six Nations chances alive with a resounding win over France at Murrayfield on Saturday. Gregor Townsend’s side scored seven tries as they ended France’s Grand Slam hopes, and they should have won by more than the 50-40 margin.

A late flurry of tries saw France rally from 50-26 down, but it was too little too late for the visitors, although they did secure what could prove to be a vital bonus point.

Conceding those late tries will have annoyed the Scottish camp, but it was great news for buyers on the Cross-Points spread at 664-743 before kick-off. With Scotland’s 50-point tally multiplied by the 40 scored by France, the market settled at 2000, with buyers winning 1257x their stake.

AMANDA ANISIMOVA v EMMA RADUCANU – RADUCANU POINTS (SETTLED AT 21)

Emma Raducanu’s Indian Wells campaign ended in spectacular fashion as she was obliterated 6-1, 6-1, by Amanda Anisimova overnight.

The Briton was no match for the American sixth seed, who dominated the match from the off, with barely a rally in sight as Raducanu was overpowered and overawed. Raducanu won just 11 points in the first set, and it took until she was 3-0 down in the second set to finally get her second game on the board.

Since winning the US Open in 2021, there has been plenty of turbulence in Raducanu’s career and this was another blot in her copybook. Before play began, the spread on Raducanu’s points was 68-72, however, given she won just 21 it left sellers winning 47x their stake.

INDIA v NEW ZEALAND – IND/NZ SUPREMACY (SETTLED AT 26)

India became the first side to win back-to-back T20 World Cups on Sunday as they cruised past New Zealand in the final. The Black Caps put India into bat but it took until the 15th over before they got their second wicket and by that point, India had 200 runs on the board.

Sanju Samson once again top scored with 89 as he completed his redemption arc to set New Zealand a target of 256 to win. Following his semi-final pyrotechnics, NZ were hoping Finn Allen could light up the final, but the opener fell for nine runs off seven deliveries. The rest of the side didn’t do much better and if it wasn’t for Tim Seifert or Mitchell Santner, they would have suffered an even bigger defeat.

A final score of 159 all out saw the Supremacy market settle at 96 as buyers at 14-22 won 74x their stake.

Please note that these are examples of winning bets from the past week, and it is important to remember that spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit.
