Daily Spread Betting Round-up
Written by Yaro Pavlenko
Another big weekend of sporting action was capped off by Senegal securing the Africa Cup of Nations in the most dramatic of circumstances against home favourites Morocco, Kyren Wilson secured the Masters snooker title against veteran Scot John Higgins, and there was drama in the NFL as the Denver Broncos defeated the Buffalo Bills in overtime in the NFL Play-Off quarter-finals.
As always in our daily betting blog, we run through some of the biggest spread betting winners from Saturday and Sunday!
We start with the AFCON action as the hosts and favourites Morocco were pitted against Senegal in a battle for the trophy, which perhaps predictably was an incredibly cagey affair with little to separate the two sides.
Ultimately, the drama exploded into action at the very end of regulation time, as Morocco were awarded a dramatic and controversial penalty, with Real Madrid's Brahim Diaz the man entrusted to secure a historic victory for Morocco.
What followed was quite incredible as Senegal initially left the field in protest, before returning some minutes later. Diaz then proceeded to missing the spot kick with an awful 'Panenka' attempt, meaning the match went to extra-time. Senegal then scored the decisive winner in the extra period to secure the trophy and leave Morocco heartbroken.
However, where did punters find profit? In terms of spread betting, buying punters managed to score a handy return on our Corners x Bookings multi-market. Based on the initial 90 minutes, a total of 14 corners between the sides and 50 booking points (5 yellow cards) meant a make-up of 700 from a starting spread of 355 - 395, and a 305x return on 'buy' bets!

In the snooker betting action, a somewhat disappointing Masters final saw Kyren Wilson win an emotional first title as he defeated the veteran Scotsman John Higgins by 10 frames to 6, as both players looked to be impaired by nerves and pressure at Alexandra Palace.
Wilson had lost his two previous Masters finals, so this success was ultimately third time lucky, but the manner of the victory did not leave fans in awe. With just two Match Centuries, the highest break in the 16 completed frames was a 111 by Wilson. Higgins' highest was just 71.
For snooker spread bettors though, shrewd sell bets were rewarded on the Total Points market. With a pre-match spread of 1,708 - 1,748, a low settlement of 1,582 meant a return of 126x on opening sell stakes!

Finally, we round off on the NFL play-offs action and a dramatic meeting between the Denver Broncos and the Buffalo Bills. Ultimately, the match was decided in overtime after an incredible 30-30 score in the regulation period.
In a to-and-fro encounter, the first quarter saw the Bills take a 3-7 advantage. The Broncos then charged back by winning the second 17-3. The third saw a repeat of the first with another 3-7 for the Bills, with the fourth quarter seeing the Bills also grab a 17-3 to level the scores at 30-30.
Overtime then saw Wil Lutz secure the victory 33-30 for the Broncos with what was his fourth field goal of the match.
For NFL punters who decided to buy on our Touchdown Shirt Numbers market, six total touchdowns in the match meant some handy profit was to be made with a settlement of 211 from a starting spread of 107 - 122, meaning a return of 89x stake on buy bets!
