Daily Spread Betting Round-up
Manchester City’s League Cup win was the big talking point from the weekend’s sports, but there was plenty of online betting action elsewhere and we have picked through the scores and results to find three big winning bets from the last few days.
Dan Skelton is well placed to secure his first ever Champion Trainer title, but he missed out on a bit of prize money to top up his total on Saturday, as the well-fancied Heltenham could do no better than fourth on Saturday at Newbury.
There were seven runners for the handicap chase, including one-time Aintree bumper winner Knappers Hill, with Heltenham sent off as the 27-30 favourite on the Race Index.
With Harry Skelton riding for his brother, hopes were high for Heltenham, but the nine-year-old struggled to make much of an impression and finished fourth. That left sellers at 27-30 on the Race Index picking up a win of 27x their stake.

The highlight of the weekend’s football came from Wembley where Pep Guardiola added another trophy to his ever-expanding trophy cabinet thanks to a brace from an unlikely source.
Left-back Nico O’Reilly was added to the extended England squad recently and the Mancunian made his case for a starting berth for the Three Lions yesterday with a pair of headed goals.
The first came from an awful error from Kepa with O’Reilly nipping in front of Martin Zubimendi to nod home. Four minutes later he was at it again as he planted home a Matheus Nunes header to ensure blue and white ribbons would be tied to the trophy.
For buyers on Nico O’Reilly Headed Goal Minutes at 1-3 it was a brilliant afternoon. A second half double saw the spread settle at 124, with buyers winning 121x their stake.
Back to Thursday now and if we did not get a surprise result, we certainly got a surprise score as Wigan just edged past York 23-22 at the Brick Community Stadium.
The Knights have been a breath of fresh air, and they gave a Wigan side, shorn of their two superstars Jai Field and Bevan French, a real good run for their money before a Harry Smith drop goal ultimately put the game beyond them.
Before the match, Wigan were expected to win fairly handsomely, with the Winning Margin x Total Points spread priced up at 1396-1568, but with the market settling at just 45, sellers were in heaven as they won 1351x their stake.
