The Champions Cup is contested by the best club sides in European rugby. This includes teams from the English Prem, French Top 14, and the URC, which comprises teams from Ireland, Wales, Scotland, Italy and, since 2017, South Africa. French sides have typically dominated the competition, with 14 wins and 16 runner-up finishes since 1995/96. Toulouse have been the most successful team, with six wins, whilst reigning champions Bordeaux Bègles have won two in a row. English and Irish sides have won ten and seven respectively, with Saracens and Leinster both having success. Clubs from other nations are yet to be crowned European champions.
Markets for the outright winner, along with markets for every game of the competition will be released closer to the start of the tournament. Bordeaux will likely be tipped by many to win a third trophy in a row, whilst Toulouse boast a star-studded squad with plenty of previous success. Bath and Northampton will likely be England’s best hopes, whilst Ireland’s Leinster will be looking to better their four runner-up finishes over the last five years.
