Arsenal made a bold statement in the summer transfer window, investing nearly £250 million in top-tier talent, including Viktor Gyökeres, Martín Zubimendi, and Eberechi Eze. That outlay is already bearing fruit in the early stages of the 2025/26 season, with the Gunners sitting top of the Premier League with 26 points from 11 games.
They are currently four points ahead of rivals Manchester City and eight points ahead of last year’s champions, Liverpool, in the race for the Premier League title. Will Arsenal be able to extend their lead as they host arch-rivals Tottenham?
DRAW: Sunderland 2-2 Arsenal. Saturday 8th November 2025.
WIN: Burnley 0-2 Arsenal. Saturday 1st November 2025.WIN: Arsenal 1-0 Crystal Palace. Sunday 26th October 2025.WIN: Fulham 0-1 Arsenal. Saturday 18th October 2025.
Tottenham have made a mixed start to the season: five wins, three draws and three defeats from their opening 11 league games, leaving them fifth in the table. On paper that’s a solid position, but supporters remain divided. Many are frustrated with the team’s approach, especially at home, where Spurs have managed just one league win so far.
The good news for Thomas Frank is that this weekend’s derby is away, where Spurs have shown far more promise. Under Frank, Tottenham have been at their most effective on the counter-attack, using the same principles that made his Brentford sides so dangerous: compact shape, quick transitions and exploiting space behind the opposition’s defence.
It’s still a huge challenge, of course. A trip to the Emirates is never straightforward, and Arsenal will expect to control possession and force Spurs deep. But with their stronger away form and a tactical style built for hitting teams on the break, Tottenham may feel this is the best possible setting for Frank to chase his first North London derby victory. Whether they can execute that plan under derby pressure is the real test.

Arsenal are the favourites to get all three points in this fixture, priced at 4/11 on Spreadex’s fixed odds market (4/11 on our 2 Up early payout Match Odds market) with visitors Tottenham priced at 13/2 (6/1 on the 2 Up early payout market) and the draw at 15/4.
Arsenal boast the best defensive record in the league this season with their defence being breached just four times in 11 games. They have also won their last five home games with their opponents unable to get on the scoresheet. The Gunners are heavy favourites to win again on Sunday and are priced at 23/20 to win the game to nil.
Our football spread betting prices have hosts Arsenal as the favourites with a Goal Supremacy quote of Arsenal/ Tottenham 1.3 – 1.5. This means a 'buy' bet at 1.5 would need an Arsenal two goal win to start turning a profit (e.g. two goal win would win 0.5x your stake, three goal win would win 1.5x your stake etc.).
A 1.3 'sell' bet would need either a one goal Arsenal win, draw or Tottenham win to turn a profit (e.g. one goal Arsenal win would win 0.3x your stake, draw would win 1.3x your stake and one goal Tottenham win 2.3x your stake etc.).
Our spread betting Total Goals line is 2.8 – 3. So a 3 'buy' bet would need at least four goals to be scored in the match to start turning a profit. Conversely, a ‘2.8’ sell bet would need two goals or less to be scored in the match to turn a profit.
Remember that with spread betting, get the bet wrong and losses can exceed your stake/deposit. E.g. a 3 'buy' Total Goals bet would lose 3x your stake if the match ended 0-0. In the 1.5 'buy' Supremacy bet example above, if the game ended a draw the bet would lose 1.5x your stake. If Tottenham won by one goal then it would lose 2.5x your stake etc. And in the 1.3 'sell' Supremacy example above, the bet would lose 0.7x your stake on a two goal Arsenal win, 1.7x your stake on a three goal Arsenal win etc.
Price Boosts are typically available on the Spreadex website the day before the game, so it’s worth checking back closer to kick-off for enhanced odds. In addition, Spreadex also features ‘Popular Bet-Builders’, specially curated by their in-house pricing team to highlight fan-favourite betting combinations.
Both sides drew 2-2 in their last Premier League outing with late drama in both games. Arsenal drew away to Sunderland with Brian Brobbey scoring a last gasp equaliser which resulted in Total Goal Minutes making up at 254. Spurs drew to Man Utd with two goals being scored in injury time meaning Total Goal Minutes made up at a massive 296. This time round Total Goal Minutes has a spread of just 142-152 minutes.
Remember that with spread betting, get the bet wrong and losses can exceed your stake/deposit. So for example if the game ended 0-0, a ‘buy’ at 152 would lose 152x times your stake.
