Europa League champions Aston Villa come into this game in a state of flux amid a merry-go-round of transfer comings and goings.
Since ending their 44-year wait for a trophy with 3-0 Europa League final win over Freiburg in May, Villa and boss Unai Emery have seen the departures of Morgan Rogers to Chelsea, Ezri Konsa to Arsenal, Youri Tielemans to Manchester United, Lucas Digne to PSG, a deal now agreed for goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez to move to Chelsea and with striker Ollie Watkins seemingly closing in on a move to Al-Hilal.
In have come goalkeeper Zion Suzuki from Parma, Leon Goretzka from Bayern Munich, Aaron Wan-Bissaka from West Ham and Nicolas Jackson from Chelsea. With more targets still being sought, it’s tough to call the Villa line-up for Monday night.

Premier League Champions Arsenal visit Villa Park hoping to build on a solid opening day 3-0 win over newly-promoted Coventry which followed the 3-0 Community Shield victory over Manchester City.
Unlike Emery, Mikel Arteta has seen more minimal transfer activity with Leandro Trossard having departed to Besiktas but with Bruno Guimarães having arrived from Newcastle and Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge as well as the aforementioned Konsa from Villa.

Given Villa’s recent disruptions, it’s perhaps not surprising to see Arsenal as strong 1/2 favourites to take the win on the Spreadex Sports Match Odds.
Villa are 5/1 to take three points with the draw priced at 16/5. Our 2 Up Early Payout market, which pays out when either team takes a two goal lead, again sees Arsenal at 1/2 but with Villa at 23/5.
Last season’s clash between the sides at Villa Park in December saw the hosts win 2-1 thanks to Emiliano Buendia’s 90th minute strike. A repeat of that scoreline is is priced at 16/1 while Both Teams To Score is 20/23

The Spreadex Goal Supremacy football spread betting market has Arsenal/Villa (h) 1 – 1.2. This means Arsenal are fancied to win by at least a goal. So a 'buy' bet at 1.2 would need Arsenal to win by at least two goals to start turning a profit (e.g. two goal win would win 0.8 x your stake, three goal win 1.8 times your stake, four goal win 2.8 your stake etc.).
A 'sell' bet at 1 would need either a draw or Villa to win to turn a profit (e.g. draw would win 1 x your stake, one goal Villa win 2 x your stake etc.).
Our spread betting Total Goals line is a 2.75 – 2.95. So a 2.95 'buy' bet would need at least three goals to be scored in the match to start turning a profit. Alternatively, a 2.75 sell bet would need two goals or less to be scored in the match to turn a profit.
Remember that with spread betting, get the bet wrong and losses can exceed your stake/deposit. E.g. a 2.95 'buy' Total Goals bet would lose 2.95 times your stake if the match ended 0-0, lose 1.95 times your stake if only one goal was scored in total or lose 0.95 times your stake if two goals were scored in total. In the 1.2 'buy' Supremacy bet example above, if the game ended as a single goal Arsenal victory the bet would lose 0.2 x your stake, a draw and the bet would lose 1.2 x your stake. If Villa won by one goal then it would lose 2.2 x your stake etc. And in the 1 'sell' Supremacy example above, the bet would lose 1 x your stake on a two goal Arsenal win, 2 x your stake on a three goal Arsenal win, 3 x your stake on a four goal Arsenal win etc.

Arsenal have won both of their last two fixtures 3-0. A repeat of that scoreline is priced at 10/1 while Arsenal to Win to Nil is 6/4.
Gunners new boy Tzolis has impressed many in his appearances since joining. For anyone fancying him to get on the scoresheet, at the time of writing Spreadex were industry best price 12/5 Tzolis Anytime Scorer, according to Oddschecker. Again for fellow new signing Guimarães to net, Spreadex were industry best price Guimarães Anytime Scorer at 23/5, again according to Oddschecker.

For punters who expect the open, expansive Postecoglou approach to continue, then our Total Goal Minutes market could be of interest with a quote of 130 – 140 (total of all the minutes of all goals scored in the match). Other options to look at include Goal Rush at a spread of 30 – 33 (points awarded for number of goals scored in the match, 0 for 0, 10 for 1, 20 for 2, 33 for 3, 50 for 4, 70 for 5, 100 for 6 or more), Goals Cubed at a spread of 37 – 43 (number of total goals in the match cubed, e.g. 4 goals would equal 64) or Rainbow Goals at a price of 7.5 – 9 (0 or 5+ goals scored = 25 points, 1 or 4 goals = 10, 2 or 3 goals = 0).
