The ATP Masters series of tournaments are the second-most prestigious tournaments in the tennis calendar apart from the four Grand Slams and provide significant ranking points, prestige and prize money.
The winner of each tournament can earn the maximum of 1000 ranking points with 600 points available for runners-up, with 360 for semi-finalist and 180 for quarter-finalists. For context, in ATP 250 series tournaments or ATP 500 tournaments, the winners would claim 250 or 500 points respectively.
With tournament draws being much larger than the lower-grade tournaments and comparable to Grand Slams, there are plenty of matches for punters to bet on over the course of almost two weeks per tournament.

There is a total of nine ATP Masters 1000 tournaments in the professional men's tennis calendar each year. These are played across three surfaces - clay, outdoor hard, and indoor hard.

Serbian great Novak Djokovic holds the all-time record of 40 Masters titles in his career, with his rivals Rafael Nadal having won 36 and Roger Federer having won 28. Djokovic is also the only player to have won all nine tournaments, and has done so more than once.
In terms of the current generation, Spain's Carlos Alcaraz has won 8 Masters so far. Italy's Jannik Sinner now has nine Masters and became the first player ever to win five in a row in winning the Madrid Masters trophy, and can extend that record and complete the full set of nine separate Masters if he is victorious in front of his home fans in Rome.
