Chelsea v Leeds United Betting Form?

Chelsea head into this clash in turmoil after the sacking of Liam Rosenior following a 3-0 defeat on the road at Brighton on Tuesday. That result continued Chelsea’s dreadful run of form and their performance and desire left a lot to be desired as they crashed and burned on the south coast.

The upshot is that Calum McFarlane will take the reins on a caretaker basis for the second time this season having drawn one and lost one whilst in temporary charge back in January. Quite how Chelsea’s players will respond to a man who was heavily involved in the Rosenior camp remains to be seen, but the Blues desperately need something to kickstart their flatlining season.

McFarlane will be unable to call upon the services of livewire winger Estevao, who was ruled out for the season. However, Cole Palmer and Joao Pedro are back in training and are expected to feature this weekend.

CHELSEA RECENT FORM

LOSS: Brighton 3-0 Chelsea. Tuesday 21st April 2026.
LOSS: Manchester United 1-0 Chelsea. Saturday 18th April 2026.
LOSS: Chelsea 0-3 Manchester City. Sunday 12th April 2026.

Unlike Chelsea, Leeds are a club with real momentum and having made the last four of the FA Cup for the first time since 1987, hopes are high in West Yorkshire. Unbeaten in seven and all but sure of safety in the league, Daniel Farke’s side head to Wembley with the wind in their sails after a last-minute Sean Longstaff volley earned themselves a valuable point away to Bournemouth.

Before the season, the talk was that Leeds’ home games would be of paramount importance if they were to stay up, but they have quietly been putting an impressive away run together. Now unbeaten in nine away matches for the first time since 1979, United have been adept at performing on the road and whilst a neutral venue, Wembley is a world away from the home comforts of Elland Road.

Plenty of this Leeds team played at Wembley in the play-off final defeat against Southampton, with Ethan Ampadu will likely start again alongside compatriot Joe Rodon (if passed fit) whilst Wilfried Gnonto, Joel Piroe, and Karl Darlow are all likely to be included in the matchday squad. Anton Stach has been a superb signing for Leeds this term, forcing his way back into the German national side. A late call will be made on the midfielder’s fitness after he sustained an ankle injury in the quarter final win over West Ham.

Chelsea v Leeds United Betting Specials and Price Boosts

Chelsea are yet to beat Leeds this season having suffered a 3-1 defeat at Elland Road before Leeds came back from 2-0 down to draw at Stamford Bridge earlier this year. If the Peacocks are to get to Wembley, they will need a big performance from Dominic Calvert-Lewin, with the former Everton man boosted from 6/4 to 7/4 to hit the back of the net at anytime this weekend.
