CHELSEA V NEWCASTLE BETTING FORM

Chelsea come into this match on mixed form after losing heavily in midweek to PSG but with just two losses in the league since the beginning of 2026. The Blues’ last league game was a strong 4-1 victory over Aston Villa, a key result in their quest for Champions League qualification. Liam Rosenior’s side currently sit 5th in the league table, but are only ahead of Liverpool in 6th on goal difference. They will need to keep winning if they are to secure their Champions League spot.

Chelsea League Form
WIN: Aston Villa 1-4 Chelsea, 4 March 2026
LOSS: Arsenal 2-1 Chelsea, 1 March 2026
DRAW: Chelsea 1-1 Burnley, 21 February 2026

Newcastle also come into this game following a somewhat disappointing midweek Champions League tie. The Magpies drew 1-1 with Spanish giants Barcelona, but after dominating the game and going ahead, a last-minute penalty saw a draw snatched from the jaws of victory. Eddie Howe’s men have struggled in the league this season, currently sitting 12th and needing a good run of results to push for a European place. Can they turn things around on Saturday?

Newcastle League Form
WIN: Newcastle 2-1 Man United, 4 March 2026
LOSS: Newcastle 2-3 Everton, 28 February 2026
LOSS: Man City 2-1 Newcastle, 24 February 2026

CHELSEA V NEWCASTLE SPREAD BETTING PRICES

Spreadex also has a number of spread betting markets for Saturday’s clash. Our “Goal Supremacy” market has Chelsea favoured by 0.6-0.8 goals. This means if you expect Chelsea to win, you can “buy” and if you expect either a draw or Newcastle to win, you can “sell”.

Our popular “Total Goals” market is currently set at 3.3-3.5. This is for the total number of goals scored in the match by both teams. If you’re expecting a high-scoring game, you can “buy” on this market. You would then need at least four goals in the game to turn a profit, with this winning 0.5x your stake, a five-goal game winning 1.5x your stake, and so on. However, if there were three goals or fewer in the match, you would lose money, with a goalless draw losing you 3.5x your stake.

If you expect a lower-scoring affair, you would “sell”. In this case, you would need three goals or fewer to turn a profit. A 0-0 draw would win you 3.3 times your stake if you sold, but if we saw a high-scoring 4-3 result, you would lose 3.7 times your stake.
