Chelsea’s decision to replace Club World Cup and Conference League-winning manager Enzo Maresca with Liam Rosenior sparked widespread debate among supporters. However, Rosenior has quickly silenced much of the criticism, guiding the Blues to five wins in his first six matches in charge.
Chelsea secured a crucial top-eight finish in the Champions League with a midweek victory away at Napoli, and they will now turn their attention to domestic matters. On Saturday, the Blues host relegation-threatened West Ham at Stamford Bridge, aiming to continue their strong run of form and pile further pressure on their struggling London rivals.

Three consecutive wins in all competitions have lifted the mood around the club and given Hammers fans renewed hope of another great escape, reminiscent of the 2006–07 Premier League season. Victories away at rivals Tottenham and at home to Sunderland have slightly narrowed the gap to the teams above them, but West Ham remain five points adrift.
With every match now crucial between now and the end of the campaign, the pressure is firmly on. The Hammers will look to extend their recent hot streak when they travel to face an in-form Chelsea on Saturday.

Chelsea are the heavy favourites to get all three points in this fixture, priced at 1/2 on Spreadex’s fixed odds market (4/9 on our 2 Up early payout Match Odds market) with visitors priced at 5/1 (7/4 on the 2 Up early payout market) and the draw at 17/5.
In the reverse fixture at The London Stadium Chelsea ran out 5-1 winners. This time round Chelsea To Win and Both Teams To Score is priced at 7/4.
Our football spread betting prices have Chelsea as the favourites with a Goal Supremacy quote of Chelsea/West Ham 1.1 – 1.3. This means a 'buy' bet at 1.3 would need a Chelsea two goal win to start turning a profit (e.g. two goal win would win 0.7x your stake, three goal win would win 1.7x your stake etc.).
A 1.1 'sell' bet would need a Chelsea one goal win, a draw or West Ham win to turn a profit (e.g. one goal Chelsea win would win 0.1x your stake, draw would win 1.1x your stake and a one goal West Ham win 2.1x your stake etc.).
Our spread betting Total Goals line is 3.2 – 3.4. So a 3.4 'buy' bet would need at least four goals to be scored in the match to start turning a profit. Conversely, a ‘3.2’ sell bet would need three goals or less to be scored in the match to turn a profit.
Remember that with spread betting, get the bet wrong and losses can exceed your stake/deposit. E.g. a 3.4 'buy' Total Goals bet would lose 3.4x your stake if the match ended 0-0. In the 1.3 'buy' Supremacy bet example above, if the game ended in a one goal Chelsea win you would lose 0.3x your stake, a draw the bet would lose 1.3x your stake. If West Ham won by one goal then it would lose 2.3x your stake etc. And in the 1.1 'sell' Supremacy example above, the bet would lose 0.9x your stake on a two goal Chelsea win, 1.9x your stake on a three goal Chelsea win etc.
Price Boosts are typically available on the Spreadex website the day before the game, so it’s worth checking back closer to kick-off for enhanced odds. In addition, Spreadex also features ‘Popular Bet-Builders’, specially curated by their in-house pricing team to highlight fan-favourite betting combinations.
Although Chelsea scored five goals to West Ham’s one in the reverse fixture, the deadlock was actually broken by the Hammers with Lucas Paqueta scoring in just the 6th minute. This time round the First Match Goal spread betting market has a spread of 30-33. A repeat of the first match goal being scored in the 6th minute would win 24x your stake if you were to ‘sell’ at 30.
Remember that with spread betting, get the bet wrong and losses can exceed your stake/deposit. So for example if the game ended 1-0 and the first match goal was scored in the 90th minute, a ‘sell’ bet at 30 would lose 60x times your stake.
Spreadex offers a wide range of football spread betting prices on Chelsea v West Ham, as well as traditional sportsbook/fixed odds prices.
Some of these markets include options such as Player Goal Minutes (the aggregate minutes of the goals scored by a named player in a match), Shirt Numbers (the aggregate of the shirt numbers of all goalscorers in a match), Bookings Points (based on 10 points per yellow, 25 per red), Corners, Team Leading Minutes, Match Performance and many, many more.
