How to watch Coventry v Brighton
Live on Sky Sports Main Event.
Coventry currently sit dead last in the Premier League table, a start many fans may have feared after seeing both Arsenal and Manchester City in the opening three weeks of the fixture list. The Sky Blues actually impressed against the latter, giving City a good run for their money, but with Frank Lampard’s side yet to score a goal in the league this season, it’s hard to find too many positives. Can they get their campaign up and running this weekend?

LOSS: Man City 1-0 Coventry, 5 September 2026 – Premier League LOSS: Coventry 0-1 Hull, 29 August 2026 – Premier LeagueWIN: Plymouth 2-4 Hull, 25 August 2026 – EFL Cup
Brighton, on the other hand, have started the new season well, with the likes of Maxim De Cuyper and new man Luka Vuškovic delivering impressive performances. The current joint top-scorers in the league, the Seagulls have fired home eight in just three games, including four against Aston Villa and three in a thrilling loss to Chelsea. Now they head to the Midlands to take on Coventry, a side they haven’t faced since 2018.

Hosts Coventry understandably come in as the underdogs in this one. You can back them to win the match at 3/1, or at 13/5 in our 2-Up Early Payout market, which pays out if your team goes two goals up at any time during the game.
Brighton are the odds-on to win, currently priced at 87/100 to win, or at 4/5 in our 2-Up market. If you’re expecting a stalemate over 90 minutes, you can back a draw at 11/4.

We also offer a number of spread betting markets for Saturday’s game, including our Goal Supremacy market. This market currently has Brighton favoured by 0.55-0.75 goals. This means that if you placed a “buy” bet, you would need Brighton to win to start turning a profit. A one-goal victory for Brighton would win you 0.25 times your stake, a two-goal win 1.25 times your stake, and so on.
However, if you bought and Brighton drew or lost the game, you would lose money. Here, a draw would cost you 0.75 times your stake, whilst a one-goal loss would cost you 1.75 times your stake etc.
You can also bet on the total number of goals scored during the game with our Total Goals market. This is currently set at 2.85-3.05. If you’re expecting a high-scoring game, you would “buy” and would need at least four total goals to turn a profit. Alternatively, if you expect a low-scoring affair, you could “sell” and would need two goals or fewer to turn a profit.
If you sold and the game ended 1-0, you would win 1.85 times your stake. However, if you sold and the game ended 4-2, you would lose 3.15 times your stake. It’s important to remember that when spread betting, if your bet loses, you can lose multiples of your stake, so be sure to choose appropriate stake sizes for each market.
