England’s start under Thomas Tuchel has been nothing short of impressive. The German manager has made an immediate impact, guiding the Three Lions to six wins from six in World Cup qualifying and securing maximum points so far. After a tentative start in attack, England’s forwards are now flourishing under Tuchel’s guidance, netting 13 goals in their last three matches — including a convincing victory over Wales.
For this international break, Tuchel has been boosted by the return of key players Jude Bellingham and Phil Foden, while also handing Alex Scott his first senior call-up following the midfielder’s standout performances in England’s U21 European Championship triumph over the summer. With confidence high, England will aim to maintain their dominant form and complete qualifying with a perfect record — without conceding a single goal.

Serbia currently sit third in Group K with three wins, one draw and two losses, leaving them on 10 points. That makes Thursday’s clash at Wembley not only a huge challenge, but a pivotal game in their bid to qualify for the World Cup.
Albania, who face England in their final qualifying fixture, are one point ahead of Serbia in second place and currently occupy the lone play-off spot.
England will be familiar with several of Serbia’s players — none more so than star striker Aleksandar Mitrović, who netted over 100 goals across six seasons for Fulham. Between the posts, Đorđe Petrović will also be a known figure, with Serbia’s No. 1 impressing at Bournemouth this season after making the switch from Chelsea.
Can Serbia produce a shock result under the Wembley lights and keep their World Cup dream alive?

England are the favourites to get all three points in this fixture, priced at 3/10 on Spreadex’s fixed odds market (2/7 on our 2 Up early payout Match Odds market) with visitors Serbia priced at 9/1 (8/1 on the 2 Up early payout market) and the draw at 17/4.
England have been rock solid at the back in their World Cup qualifying campaign, winning all six matches without conceding a single goal. They head into the clash with Serbia as firm favourites and are currently priced at Evens to win without conceding.
Our football spread betting prices have hosts England as the favourites with a Goal Supremacy quote of England/Serbia 1.55 – 1.75. This means a 'buy' bet at 1.75 would need England to win by two to start turning a profit (e.g. two goal win would win 0.25x your stake, three goal win would win 1.25x your stake etc.).
A 1.55 'sell' bet would need either a England one goal win, draw or Serbia win to turn a profit (e.g. England one goal win would win 0.55x your stake, draw would win 1.55x your stake, one goal Wales win 2.55x your stake etc.).
Our spread betting Total Goals line is 2.85 – 3.05. So a 3.05 'buy' bet would need at least four goals to be scored in the match to start turning a profit. Conversely, a ‘3.05’ sell bet would need three goals or less to be scored in the match to turn a profit.
Remember that with spread betting, get the bet wrong and losses can exceed your stake/deposit. E.g. a 3.05 'buy' Total Goals bet would lose 3.05x your stake if the match ended 0-0. In the 1.75 'buy' Supremacy bet example above, if the game ended a draw the bet would lose 1.75x your stake. If Serbia won by one goal then it would lose 2.75x your stake etc. And in the 1.55 'sell' Supremacy example above, the bet would lose 0.45x your stake on a 2-0 England win, 1.45x your stake on a 3-0 England win etc.
Price Boosts are typically available on the Spreadex website the day before the game, so it’s worth checking back closer to kick-off for enhanced odds. In addition, Spreadex also features ‘Popular Bet-Builders’, specially curated by their in-house pricing team to highlight fan-favourite betting combinations.
The last time England faced Serbia, England ran out 5-0 winners with Total Goal Minutes in that match making up at a massive 285. For this fixture, Total Goal Minutes has a spread currently set at just 144–154, which could be a market to look out for if Tuchel’s side inflict another heavy defeat for Serbia.
Remember that with spread betting, get the bet wrong and losses can exceed your stake/deposit. So for example if England failed to score, a ‘buy’ at 155 would lose 155x times your stake.
