Alternatively sports spread betting markets are available for the match, offering a different way to bet on sports compared to regular fixed odds betting. Selected football spread betting markets include Total Goals; the spread is 2.5 – 2.7. If you thought, there would be 3 goals or more in the match you would make a ‘buy’ bet. If the match finished 2-1 then a ‘buy’ bet would return a profit of 0.3 x your stake. However, if the match finished with 2 goals or less then a ‘buy’ bet would return a loss. E.g. a final score of 1-1 would return a loss of 0.7 x your stake.
Another available spread betting market is 1st Match Goal, the spread is 36 – 39. If you thought the 1st Goal would come before the 36th minute you would make a ‘sell’ bet. If the 1st Goal came in the 29th minute, then a ‘sell’ bet would return 7 x your stake. However, if the 1st Goal came after the 39th minute then a ‘sell’ bet would return a loss. E.g. a 1st Goal in the 44th minute would return a loss of 5 x your stake. A ‘sell’ bet would also return a loss if no goal was scored.
