Four-time World Cup winners Germany begin their latest quest for global glory with a Group E opener against tournament debutants Curacao. The newcomers arrive at the World Cup with some of the longest odds to lift the trophy and will be aiming to produce one of the greatest shocks in the competition's history.
Germany will be expected to start their campaign with a victory and will be keen to avoid any early setbacks against a side with nothing to lose. With Ivory Coast and Ecuador also competing in Group E, Julian Nagelsmann's men will be targeting not only three points but also a healthy goal difference that could prove crucial in the race to top the group and secure a favourable path through the knockout stages.

Germany are the massive favourites to get all three points in this fixture, priced at 1/33 to get all three points on Spreadex’s fixed odds market (1/66 on our 2 Up early payout Match Odds market) with Curacao priced at 33/1 (28/1 on the 2 Up early payout market) and the draw at 18/1.
Germany are the massive favourites to win this game and with their World Cup experience they will be looking to win this fixture comfortably. You can get Germany To Win To Nil priced at 2/5 on Spreadex Sports fixed odds market.
Our football spread betting prices have Germany as the favourites with a Goal Supremacy quote of Germany/Curacao 3.6 – 3.9. This means a 'buy' bet at 3.9 would need a Germany four goal win to start turning a profit (e.g. four goal win would win 0.1x your stake, five goal win would win 1.1x your stake etc.).
A 3.6 'sell' bet would need a Germany three or less goal win, draw or Curacao win to turn a profit (e.g. Germany three goal win would win 0.6x your stake, draw would win 3.6x your stake, one goal Curacao win would win 4.6x your stake etc.).
Our spread betting Total Goals line is 4.4 – 4.7. So a 4.7 'buy' bet would need at least five goals to be scored in the match to start turning a profit. Conversely, a ‘4.4’ sell bet would need four goals or less to be scored in the match to turn a profit.
Remember that with spread betting, get the bet wrong and losses can exceed your stake/deposit. E.g. a 4.7 'buy' Total Goals bet would lose 4.7x your stake if the match ended 0-0. In the 3.9 'buy' Supremacy bet example above, a draw would lose 3.9x your stake and a one goal Curacao win would lose 4.9x your stake etc. And in the 3.6 'sell' Supremacy example above, the bet would lose 0.4x your stake on a four goal Germany win, 1.4x your stake on a five goal Germany win etc.
Price Boosts are typically available on the Spreadex website the day before the game, so it’s worth checking back closer to kick-off for enhanced odds. In addition, Spreadex also features ‘Popular Bet-Builders’, specially curated by their in-house pricing team to highlight fan-favourite betting combinations.
Germany’s last World Cup game was against Cost Rica in the 2022 tournament with the German’s winning 4-2. Although they won the game they exited the tournament with Japan and Spain progressing from their group. The Total Goal Minutes in this match made up at a massive 385. This time round the Total Goal Minutes spread betting market is just 225 – 240. This means if there were to be 385 Total Goal Minutes again a ‘buy’ at 240 would win 145x your stake.
Remember that with spread betting, get the bet wrong and losses can exceed your stake/deposit. So for example if Total Goal Minutes made up at 100 a ‘buy’ at 240 would lose 140x times your stake.
Spreadex offers a wide range of football spread betting prices on Germany v Curacao, as well as traditional sportsbook/fixed odds prices.
