Sunday's clash between Brentford and Leeds was the quintessential game of two halves as the Bees were on top in the first half, before Leeds roared back in the second half. Dominic Calvert-Lewin's first goal of the season cancelled out Kevin Schade's excellent opener. Here is our betting preview written ahead of kick-off.
When is Leeds United v Brentford?Sunday 30th August.
What time is kick-off for Leeds United v Brentford?2pm, UK time.
Where is Leeds United v Brentford being played?Elland Road, Leeds.
How can I watch Leeds United v Brentford?Sky Sports Premier League.
Two wins from two, allied with an impressive transfer window, have raised hopes around Leeds that the Whites can have another impressive season under Daniel Farke. After a 14th place finish last year, there are whispers around the LS postcodes of a push for the Conference League, with James Trafford and Tarik Muharemovic impressing in their nascent Leeds careers.
However, this weekend, United welcome another upwardly mobile side to West Yorkshire in the shape of Brentford. New midfielder Mamadou Sangare drew plenty of plaudits on his league debut in the thrashing of Spurs last weekend and if they are able to add El-Hadji Malick Diouf to the side then they will be a formidable outfit.
As for the team news, James Justin will continue to deputise for Leeds at left back in place of the injured Gabby Gudmundsson. This game may be too soon for Wily Gnonto to return to action and Ilia Gruev remains sidelined. For Brentford, Yehor Yarmoliuk was forced off during the 6-1 win over Birmingham City in the week, and Sepp van den Berg remains sidelined with a groin issue.

Despite Leeds’ impressive home form last season, there is little to split the two in the betting this weekend. Brentford have started the season like a house on fire, including an eye-catching 7-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt in their last pre-season match. That makes it 16 goals scored in their last three matches and the Bees can be backed at 17/10 to have a sting in the tail on Sunday. Leeds are priced at 31/20 to kick off their home campaign with a win and the draw is chalked up at 12/5.
Both matches between these two ended in a draw last season, with the 0-0 at Elland Road one of the dullest matches imaginable. Another 0-0 in West Yorkshire is priced at 9/1, with a 1-1 draw available to back at 11/2. In the goals markets, our traders can’t split it with both under 2.5 goals and over 2.5 goals priced up at 20/23.
Brentford’s main man has been the subject of intense transfer speculation this window, but if he starts, Igor Thiago is 23/5 to open the scoring with Dominic Calvert-Lewin the same price in the same market.

Onto our spread betting markets, and the Total Goals spreads is 2.65-2.85 (only Sunderland’s match with Fulham later in the day has a lower buy price across the Premier League weekend). Similarly, Total Goal Minutes is a fairly low spread at 135-145 and you can buy or sell Shirt Numbers at 33-36.
If you plan on trading shirts, there are a couple of numbers to look out for, with Calvert-Lewin wearing number nine, Harry Wilson ten, Noah Okafor 11, and Lukas Nmecha 14. For Brentford, Thago wears the number nine shirt, Kevin Schade seven, Dango Ouattara 11, and Callum Wilson 13.
