For the second successive season, Manchester United leave Elland Road with a 1-1 draw. Last year’s result was terminal for Ruben Amorim, but Michael Carrick clings on to his job. For Leeds, the feeling will have been that it was two points dropped given the woes of their opponents, but having come from behind, it is perhaps a point both will be happy with.
Below is our betting preview written ahead of kick-off.
When is Leeds United v Manchester United?Sunday 18th October.
What time is kick-off for Leeds United v Manchester United?2pm, UK time.
Where is Leeds United v Manchester United being played?Elland Road, Leeds.
How can I watch Leeds United v Manchester United?Sky Sports Premier League and Main Event.
Leeds suffered their first defeat of the league campaign last weekend when beaten 2-1 away at Arsenal, but there was plenty of encouragement on offer for Daniel Farke. His side have lost just six matches in their last 31 at this level, and they head into this weekend’s clash with Manchester United as clear favourites.
It is rare that Leeds are the favourites in this most bitter of rivalries, but they will be looking to record a first home win over the Red Devils since the early 2000s. Manchester United cross the Pennines in abject form and Lisandro Martinez threw a well-publicised grenade into the mix after their 2-0 loss on the road at Atletico Madrid during the week.
Whether that galvanises the Reds remains to be seen, but Leeds will be relishing the prospect of playing in front of a full and hostile Elland Road on Sunday. This is a fixture that rarely disappoints.

As mentioned, Leeds are the favourites for this one and can be backed at 13/10 to record a famous win over their rivals. They were 2-1 winners at Old Trafford earlier this year as the Whites raced away from the relegation zone and back in January, a 1-1 draw at Elland Road was the final nail in the coffin for Ruben Amorim.
Leeds do draw lots of matches, and you can back the spoils to be shared at 5/2, with an away win priced at 2/1.
In the goalscorer markets, Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been in red hot form at home, and the former Everton man can be backed at 17/4 to score first and 6/5 to sore anytime. Noah Okafor, Leeds’ two-goal hero at Old Trafford, is 12/5 to score at anytime.
