Major League Baseball is one of the most popular sports leagues in the United States and Canada. Compromising of the National League and the American League, with 29 teams from the USA and one from Canada.

The 2026 Major League Baseball season begins Thursday 26th March with the San Francisco Giants taking on the New York Yankees with a 00:05 a.m. GMT start time. Opening day follows with a further eleven fixtures.

The reigning champions are the Los Angeles Dodgers; the Dodgers are two-time defending champions after victory in the World Series in 2024 and 2025.
