Spreadex Sports previews the upcoming 2025/26 Premier League fixture between Man Utd and Aston Villa. The Red Devils faltered for the first time in Michael Carrick's tenure as they fell to a late defeat to Newcastle last time out, and will need to arrest any drop in form as they chase Champions League qualification.

Aston Villa, meanwhile, have had a slide in league form of late with no wins in their last three but are currently locked on 51 points alongside Utd, with this third v fourth clash potentially pivotal in both sides' seasons and aims of a top four finish.

Man Utd v Aston Villa betting FORM

Michael Carrick's Man Utd had been the most in-form team in the Premier League since the turn of the year, with the Red Devils suddenly looking favoured to return to the Champions League after surging up to third place in the league table. However, their impressive run of form took a hit against ten-men Newcastle last time out. Can they get back on track immediately?

Aston Villa at one point looked like potential title contenders this season, but a busy schedule has seen some dips in form which has seen the Villans overtaken by Utd in the standings, and now 16 points behind league leaders Arsenal. They also crashed out of the FA Cup recently. Winless in their last three league games, Villa will at least find confidence and momentum from their exploits in Europe, where they beat Lille in midweek.

WHAT ARE THE BEST ODDS ON Man Utd v Aston Villa?

The Spreadex Sports fixed odds Match Odds betting prices have Man Utd as the 7/10 favourites to secure a home victory while our 2 Up early pay out market, which pays out when a team goes two goals up, has the Red Devils at 8/13.

Villa meanwhile are available at 18/5 for the away victory (3/1 on our 2 Up market), with the draw at 16/5.

Man Utd v Aston Villa FOOTBALL SPREAD BETTING PRICES

Our football spread betting prices have the Goal Supremacy as Man Utd/Aston Villa 0.75 - 0.95. This means if Utd won 3-0 (or by any other three goal margin), a 'buy' bet at 0.95 would mean a return of 2.05x your initial stake.

However, if you bought at 0.95 in Utd's favour and the match ended goalless, you would lose 0.95x your stake. Or, if Villa were to grab a 2-1 (or any other one goal margin) win, the market would settle negatively at -1 and a buy at 0.95 would result in a loss of 1.95x your opening stake.

You can calculate various make-ups by using our handy spread betting calculator, found here.

Our spread betting Total Goals line is 3 - 3.2. So a 3.2 'buy' bet would need at least four goals to be scored in the match to start turning a profit. Conversely, a 3.2 sell bet would need less than three goals to be scored in the match to turn a profit.

Remember that with spread betting, get the bet wrong and losses can exceed your stake/deposit. E.g. a 3.2 'buy' Total Goals bet would lose 3.2x your opening stake if the match ended 0-0, and so on.
