Michael Carrick’s first task as Manchester United manager is to win bragging rights for the red half of Manchester. Last season this fixture saw a boring 0-0 draw, the first scoreless result in this tie since 2020. Excluding another 0-0 in 2015, and another in 2004, this fixture has historically seen over 1.5 goals a game in the Premier League, with the last one-goal winning tie being United’s 1-0 win back in 1995.

Our football spread betting prices have the Goal Supremacy as Man City / Manchester United (h) at 0.4-0.6. This means a ‘buy’ bet at 0.6 would need Manchester City to win by one goal to start turning a profit (e.g. a one-goal win would win 0.4× your stake, a two-goal win 1.4× your stake, a three-goal win 2.4× your stake, etc.).
A 0.4 ‘sell’ bet would need a draw, or Manchester United to win to turn a profit (e.g. a draw would win 0.6× your stake, and a Manchester United win by one goal would win 1.6× your stake, etc.).
Our spread betting Total Goals line is 3.3–3.5. This means a 3.5 ‘buy’ bet would need at least four goals to be scored in the match to start turning a profit. Conversely, a 3.3 ‘sell’ bet would need three goals or fewer to be scored in the match to turn a profit.
Remember that with spread betting, get the bet wrong and losses can exceed your stake/deposit. For example, a 3.5 ‘buy’ Total Goals bet would lose 3.5× your stake if the match ended 0–0. In the 0.6 ‘buy’ Supremacy bet example above, if the game ended a draw, the bet would lose 0.6× your stake. If Manchester United won by one goal, then it would lose 1.6× your stake, etc. And in the 0.4 ‘sell’ Supremacy example above, the bet would lose 0.6× your stake on a 1–0 Manchester City win, 1.6× your stake on a 2–0 Manchester City win, etc.
We also have our player spread markets, including Player Goal Minutes which will be available closer to kick off. Premier League top scorer Erling Haaland has 1 goal in his last 6 games in all competitions, but you can back the big Norwegian in our Player Goal Minutes market at 37-41.
Antoine Semenyo is the third top scorer in the Premier League this season with 10 goals. The Ghanian international has scored is his first two Manchester City appearances and can be backed at a spread of 14-17 in our Player Goal Minutes market.
