Newcastle look to have landed on their feet after a challenging summer which saw them lose a number of key players and former manager Eddie Howe, and are unbeaten after their first two matches in the league. A draw with Liverpool and a win against Spurs will have fans feeling much more optimistic than they might have been heading into the season. Now Matthias Jaissle’s side play host to Bournemouth, a side still searching for their first win this season. Can Newcastle remain unbeaten this Saturday?

Bournemouth fans on the other hand will not be best pleased with their single point from their opening two Premier League fixtures. The Cherries have played some good football, but late goals have been their downfall. Marco Rose’s side conceded twice to Manchester City in the 84^th and 92^nd minutes to turn three points into none, and conceded another stoppage-time goal to Everton last time out to turn a win into a draw. Bournemouth fans will know that with a European campaign on their hands this season, they can’t afford to lose focus in the league. Can they return to form this weekend?

Hosts Newcastle are the slight favourites in this one. You can back the Magpies to win the match at 6/5, or at 21/20 in our 2-Up Early Payout market, which pays out if your team goes two goals up at any time during the game.

Bournemouth will head to St James’ Park as the underdogs. They are currently priced at 19/10 to win, or at 7/4 in our 2-Up market. If you’re expecting a stalemate, you can back a draw at 27/10.

NEWCASTLE V BOURNEMOUTH FOOTBALL SPREAD BETTING PRICES

We also offer a number of spread betting markets for Saturday’s game, including our Goal Supremacy market. This market currently has Newcastle favoured by 0.15-0.35 goals. This means that if you placed a “buy” bet, you would need the Magpies to win to start turning a profit. A one-goal victory for Newcastle would win you 0.65 times your stake, a two-goal win 1.65 times your stake, and so on.

However, if you bought and Newcastle drew or lost the game, you would lose money. Here, a draw would cost you 0.35 times your stake, whilst a one-goal loss would cost you 1.35 times your stake etc.

You can also bet on the total number of goals scored during the game with our Total Goals market. This is currently set at 3.1-3.3. If you’re expecting a high-scoring game, you would “buy” and would need at least four total goals to turn a profit. Alternatively, if you expect a low-scoring affair, you could “sell” and would need three goals or fewer to turn a profit.

If you sold and the game ended 1-0, you would win 2.1 times your stake. However, if you sold and the game ended 4-2, you would lose 2.9 times your stake. It’s important to remember that when spread betting, if your bet loses, you can lose multiples of your stake, so be sure to choose appropriate stake sizes for each market.
