NEWCASTLE V CHELSEA BETTING FORM

Newcastle are reeling after a painful derby loss to Sunderland last week. A spectacular header saw star signing Nick Woltemade steer the ball into the wrong net for a goal which would prove decisive in an otherwise dull affair. With league form having been generally underwhelming this season, Eddie Howe’s men will be looking for a spark this time out against Chelsea. Can they find their feet on Saturday?

NEWCASTLE LEAGUE FORM

LOSS: Sunderland 1-0 Newcastle, 14th December 2025
WIN: Newcastle 2-1 Burnley, 6th December 2025
DRAW: Newcastle 2-2 Tottenham, 2nd December 2025

Chelsea will also be looking for a strong showing this weekend, after a recent downturn in form. The Blues had been on the charge earlier in the year, but with just one win in their last three league games, Enzo Maresca’s side need to pick up points if they are to keep pace with the Premier League’s elite. The return of star man Cole Palmer was an early Christmas present for Chelsea, and fans will be hoping he can return to his scintillating best. How will he fare on Saturday?

CHELSEA LEAGUE FORM

WIN: Chelsea 2-0 Everton, 13th December 2025
DRAW: Bournemouth 0-0 Chelsea, 6th December 2025
LOSS: Leeds 3-1 Chelsea, 3rd December 2025

WHAT ARE THE BEST ODDS ON NEWCASTLE V CHELSEA?

These two teams are very hard to split, and our fixed odds betting prices reflect this. Hosts Newcastle are just underdogs in this one, at 13/8 to win the match or 6/4 in our 2 Up market which pays out if your team goes up by two goals at any point during the match.

Visitors Chelsea are priced at 31/20 to win the match, or 7/5 in our 2 Up market. You can also back a draw at 12/5 if you’re expecting a stalemate. Recent history between these two would also suggest a close result this weekend. Whilst Chelsea have generally been on top in recent years, the Magpies won the last two fixtures between the two. Who will prevail on Saturday?

NEWCASTLE V CHELSEA FOOTBALL SPREAD BETTING PRICES

We also offer a number of spread betting markets for Saturday’s clash, including our “Goal Supremacy” market. This market currently has the two sides inseparable, with Newcastle favoured by -0.1 – 0.1 goals. This means that if you placed a “buy” bet, you would need Newcastle to win to start turning a profit, and if you sold, you would need Chelsea to win. If you bought, a one-goal victory for Newcastle would win you 0.9 times your stake, a two-goal victory 1.9 times your stake, and so on.

However, if you bought and Newcastle lost the game, you would lose money. Here, a one-goal loss would cost you 1.1 times your stake, a two-goal loss 2.1 times your stake, etc. A draw will result in no profit or loss for both buyers and sellers.

You can also bet on the total number of goals scored during the game with our Total Goals market. This is currently set at 2.95-3.15. If you’re expecting plenty of goalmouth action, you would “buy” and would need at least four total goals to turn a profit. Alternatively, if you expect a low-scoring affair, you could “sell” and would need two goals or fewer to turn a profit.

If you sold and the game ended 1-0, you would win 1.95 times your stake. However, if you sold and the game ended 4-2 you would lose 3.05 times your stake. It’s important to remember that when spread betting, if your bet loses, you can lose multiples of your stake, so be sure to choose appropriate stake sizes for each market.
