The Premier League is one of the PDC's Triple Crown events and one of darts' most prestigious competitions. Only eight players are chosen to compete each year, so selection is a major accomplishment.
The event typically runs from February to May, with players competing in a knock-out tournament every week at different venues across Europe. The four players leading the league standings at the end of the season compete in Finals Night at the O2 Arena in London.
Luke Humphries is the reigning champion after defeating rival Luke Littler in the final. The Premier League has historically been dominated by Phil Taylor and Michael van Gerwen, with the pair winning six and seven editions respectively, accounting for 13 of the 21 editions of the tournament.
