Spain are the favourites to win this fixture, priced at 5/4 on Spreadex’s fixed odds market (6/5 on our 2 Up early payout Match Odds market) with Argentina priced at 13/5 (12/5 on the 2 Up early payout market) and the draw at 2/1.
The last time these two sides met at the World Cup was back in 1966 where Argentina ran out 2-1 winners with Luis Artime scoring both goals for Argentina. A repeat of this scoreline 60 years later is priced at 11/1.
Alternatively, if you’re expecting Argentina to win and Spain to get on the scoresheet without picking an exact result, Argentina To Win + BTTS is available at 11/2.
Our football spread betting prices have Spain as the favourites with a Goal Supremacy quote of Spain/Argentina 0.2 – 0.4. This means a 'buy' bet at 0.4 would need an Spain win to start turning a profit (e.g. one goal win would win 0.6x your stake, two goal win would win 1.6x your stake etc.).
A 0.2 'sell' bet would need a draw or Argentina win to turn a profit (e.g. Draw would win 0.2x your stake and a one goal Argentina win would win 1.2x your stake etc.).
Our spread betting Total Goals line is 2.3 – 2.5. So a 2.5 'buy' bet would need at least three goals to be scored in the match to start turning a profit. Conversely, a ‘2.3’ sell bet would need two goals or less to be scored in the match to turn a profit.
Remember that with spread betting, get the bet wrong and losses can exceed your stake/deposit. E.g. a 2.5 'buy' Total Goals bet would lose 2.5x your stake if the match ended 0-0. In the 0.4 'buy' Supremacy bet example above a draw would lose 0.4x your stake and a one goal Argentina win would lose 1.4x your stake etc. And in the 0.2 'sell' Supremacy example above, the bet would lose 0.8x your stake on a one goal Spain win, 1.8x your stake on a two goal Spain win etc.
Price Boosts are typically available on the Spreadex website the day before the game, so it’s worth checking back closer to kick-off for enhanced odds. In addition, Spreadex also features ‘Popular Bet-Builders’, specially curated by their in-house pricing team to highlight fan-favourite betting combinations.
Argentina’s last game had lots of late drama as they beat England with goals from Enzo Fernandez in the 85th and Lautaro Martinez in the 90th minute overturning England’s 55th minute lead through Anthony Gordon. This means that the spread betting market Total Goal Minutes made up at a massive 230. The spread for Total Goal Minutes in The World Cup Final is 119 - 129. This means that a ‘buy’ at 129 would win 101x your stake if there were a repeat of 230 Total Goal Minutes.
Remember that with spread betting, get the bet wrong and losses can exceed your stake/deposit. So for example if Total Goal Minutes made up at 49 a ‘buy’ at 129 would lose 80x times your stake.
