Sunderland v Nottingham Forest betting FORM

In terms of league form, Sunderland have had somewhat mixed form of late with three wins and two defeats in their last five, including a dramatic 4-3 defeat to Aston Villa last time out. However, with a tally of 46 points being just two off Chelsea in sixth, there will be plenty of motivation and incentive for the Black Cats to strive for three points here.

Forest have found some vital results in recent weeks which has pushed them 5 points above the relegation zone, and in fact have only tasted defeat twice in their last ten matches in all competitions. Aside from their league exploits, they have also secured a place in the semi-finals of the Europa League. A victory here would push them close to the 40 point mark, which has traditionally been the target for securing Premier League status.

WHAT ARE THE BEST ODDS ON Sunderland v Nottingham Forest?

The Spreadex Sports fixed odds Match Odds betting prices have Forest as marginal 13/8 favourites to secure a victory while our 2 Up early pay out market, which pays out when a team goes two goals up, has the away side at 31/20.

Sunderland meanwhile are available at 17/10 for the home victory (31/20 on our 2 Up market), with the draw at 9/4.

In the last five H2H meetings, matches have been tightly contested between these sides, with none featuring over 2.5 goals (in 90 minutes). Sunderland have won the last two league meetings, with one friendly draw, one Forest win and a cup fixture which was decided in extra time in Sunderland's favour.

Only three of the last ten meetings saw Both Teams Scoring, and you can back Both to Score - No at 20/23 here.

Sunderland v Nottingham Forest FOOTBALL SPREAD BETTING PRICES

Our football spread betting prices have the Goal Supremacy as Sunderland/Nottingham Forest -0.1 - 0.1. This means if Sunderland won 4-1 (or by any other three goal margin), a 'buy' bet at 0.1 would mean a return of 2.9x your initial stake.

However, if you bought at 0.1 in Sunderland's favour and the match ended goalless, you would lose 0.1x your stake. Or, if Forest were to grab a 1-0 (or any other one goal margin) win, the market would settle negatively at -1 and a buy at 0.1 would result in a loss of 1.1x your opening stake.

You can calculate various make-ups by using our handy spread betting calculator, found here.

Our spread betting Total Goals line is 2.4 - 2.6. So a 2.6 'buy' bet would need at least three goals to be scored in the match to start turning a profit. Conversely, a 2.4 sell bet would need less than two goals to be scored in the match to turn a profit.

Remember that with spread betting, get the bet wrong and losses can exceed your stake/deposit. E.g. a 2.6 'buy' Total Goals bet would lose 2.6x your opening stake if the match ended 0-0, and so on.
