Spreadex Sports previews the upcoming 2026 World Cup Qualification Semi-Final Play-Off fixture between Wales and Bosnia & Herzegovina. The Red Dragons will look to leverage home advantage as they aim to secure back-to-back World Cup qualification for the first time in their history.
Bosnia, meanwhile, are unbeaten in their last four matches and will look to continue their quest for just a second-ever appearance in a major tournament as an independent nation, after their appearance in the 2014 World Cup.
Who will claim the victory in Cardiff and progress to the play-off finals?
When is Wales v Bosnia? Thursday, March 26th 2026.
What time is kick-off for Wales v Bosnia? 7.45pm, UK time.
Where is Wales v Bosnia being played? Cardiff City Stadium, Cardiff.
How can I watch Wales v Bosnia? Live on BBC 2 from 8pm.
Wales come into this crunch clash off the back of a crushing victory over North Macedonia in their final qualifying match back in November, but the visit of Bosnia will provide a more significant challenge for Craig Bellamy's Red Dragons.
The visitors are unbeaten in their last four, and have only been defeated twice in their last ten matches. However, their winning momentum ended last time out with a draw against Austria.
Which of these sides will be able to embrace the nature of high-stakes knockout football to find their best form here?
WIN: Wales 7-1 North Macedonia. 18th November 2025.WIN: Liechtenstein 0-1 Wales. 15th November 2025. LOSS: Wales 2-4 Belgium. 13th October 2025.
DRAW: Austria 1-1 Bosnia. 18th November 2025.WIN: Bosnia 3-1 Romania. 15th November 2025.WIN: Malta 1-4 Bosnia. 12th October 2025.

The Spreadex Sports fixed odds Match Odds betting prices have Wales as the 5/6 favourites to secure a home victory while our 2 Up early pay out market, which pays out when a team goes two goals up, has the Red Dragons at 4/5.
Bosnia meanwhile are available at 15/4 for the away victory (17/4 on our 2 Up market), with the draw at 23/10.
In terms of 'To Qualify' odds, Wales are available at 2/5, with Bosnia at 15/8.
H2H form shows four previous meetings between these sides, and Bosnia have had the better of the matchup with two wins and two draws. Wales found the net in only one of those four meetings.
With three of four meetings not seeing both score, you can back Both to Score - No at 4/5 here.
Our football spread betting prices have the Goal Supremacy as Wales/Bosnia 0.55 - 0.75. This means if Wales won 3-0 (or by any other three goal margin), a 'buy' bet at 0.75 would mean a return of 2.25x your initial stake.
However, if you bought at 0.75 in Utd's favour and the match ended goalless, you would lose 0.75x your stake. Or, if Bosnia were to grab a 2-1 (or any other one goal margin) win, the market would settle negatively at -1 and a buy at 0.75 would result in a loss of 1.75x your opening stake.
You can calculate various make-ups by using our handy spread betting calculator, found here.
Our spread betting Total Goals line is 2.4 - 2.6. So a 2.6 'buy' bet would need at least three goals to be scored in the match to start turning a profit. Conversely, a 2.4 sell bet would need less than three goals to be scored in the match to turn a profit.
Remember that with spread betting, get the bet wrong and losses can exceed your stake/deposit. E.g. a 2.6 'buy' Total Goals bet would lose 2.6x your opening stake if the match ended 0-0, and so on.
We have several pre-built Popular Bet-Builders, including Harry Wilson 3+ shots, Brennan Johnson 3+ shots & David Brooks 2+ shots - 11/4, Harry Wilson 2+ shots on target & Edin Dzeko 2+ shots on target - 19/4, Wales to win & Wales most corners - 7/4 and much more!
Our Price Boosts for this one include Armin Gigovic 1+ shots on target - NOW 19/10, Harry Wilson 1+ Assist - NOW 18/5, Brennan Johnson 1+ shots on target, Liam Cullen 1+ shots on target & Ermedin Demirovic 1+ shots on target - NOW 3/1 and more!
