West Ham got off to a slow start but have since picked up form, recording three wins in seven days against Wolves, Derby and Bolton. This run leaves them second in the table, with the chance to return to top spot on Friday evening before the rest of the league plays across the weekend.
They face a tough test against Wrexham, who narrowly missed out on the play-offs last season and have invested heavily over the summer. Wrexham currently sit 14th in the league but have lost just one game all season. Since returning to the EFL in 2023, Wrexham have never lost in London and will be looking to maintain that impressive record when they visit the London Stadium on Friday night.

West Ham are the favourites to win this fixture, priced at 4/7 on Spreadex’s fixed odds market (8/15 on our 2 Up early payout Match Odds market) with visitors Wrexham priced at 17/4 (15/4 on the 2 Up early payout market) and the draw at 16/5.
The last time these two sides met was all the way back in 1997, when Wrexham ran out 1-0 winners thanks to a late goal from Kevin Russell. A repeat of that scoreline this time round is priced at 14/1.
Alternatively, if you’re expecting Wrexham to win without West Ham getting on the scoresheet without picking an exact result, Wrexham To Win To Nil is available at 8/1.
Our football spread betting prices have West Ham as the favourites with a Goal Supremacy quote of West Ham/Wrexham 0.95 – 1.15. This means a 'buy' bet at 1.15 would need a West ham two goal win to start turning a profit (e.g. two goal win would win 0.85x your stake, three goal win would win 1.85x your stake etc.).
A 0.95 'sell' bet would need a draw or Wrexham win to turn a profit (e.g. a draw would win 0.95x your stake and a one goal Wrexham win would win 1.95x your stake etc.).
Our spread betting Total Goals line is 3 – 3.2. So, a 3.2 'buy' bet would need at least four goals to be scored in the match to start turning a profit. Conversely, a ‘3’ sell bet would need two goals or less to be scored in the match to turn a profit.
Remember that with spread betting, get the bet wrong and losses can exceed your stake/deposit. E.g. a 3.2 'buy' Total Goals bet would lose 3.2x your stake if the match ended 0-0. In the 1.15 'buy' Supremacy bet example above, a West Ham one goal win would lose 0.15x your stake, a draw would lose 1.15x your stake and a one goal Wrexham win would lose 2.15x your stake etc. And in the 0.95 'sell' Supremacy example above, the bet would lose 0.05x your stake on a one goal West Ham win and 1.05x your stake on a two goal West ham win etc.
Price Boosts are typically available on the Spreadex website the day before the game, so it’s worth checking back closer to kick-off for enhanced odds. In addition, Spreadex also features ‘Popular Bet-Builders’, specially curated by their in-house pricing team to highlight fan-favourite betting combinations.
In West Ham’s last outing they played out a 3-2 thriller with Bolton with Jarrod Bowen scoring a brace. Bowen’s goals came in the 13th and 77th minute meaning that his Super Mega Minutes made up at 167 (Total Goal Minutes, with second goal doubled, third trebled etc). This time round Bowen’s Super Mega Minutes has a spread of 32 - 38. This means that if there were to be a repeat of 167 Super Mega Minutes like his last outing, a buy at 38 would win 129x your stake.
Remember that with spread betting, get the bet wrong and losses can exceed your stake/deposit. So for example if Bowen failed to score his Super Mega Minutes would make up at 0, meaning a ‘buy’ at 38 would lose 38x times your stake.
