Wolves are playing for pride at this point in the season, with Rob Edwards’ side dead last and 14 points adrift of survival. It’s been a season to forget for Wolves fans, but their recent form is actually quite good. Unbeaten in four in all competitions, including an impressive 6-1 drubbing of Shrewsbury in the FA Cup, and with youngster Mateus Mané showing some real promise, Wolves have shown there’s still some fight left in them. The question is, is it too little too late?

Newcastle are coming off a disappointing home loss in the first leg of their EFL Cup semi-final against Man City, but will be up against a struggling Wolves side this weekend. The Magpies have won their last three games in the Premier League, with captain Bruno Guimarães on great form and new man Yoane Wissa back fit and ready for action. Can they continue their push for a Champions League place?

Visitors Newcastle unsurprisingly head into this clash as the favourites, with hosts Wolves only having won one game all year in the Premier League. Eddie Howe’s side are currently priced at 7/10 to win the game, or at 13/20 in our 2 Up Market which pays out if your team goes up by two goals at any point during the game.
Wolves will be underdogs on Saturday, though will be encouraged by recent performances. The hosts can be backed at 17/5 to win outright or at 3/1 in our 2 Up Market. If you’re expecting a stalemate, you can back a draw at 3/1.

We also offer a number of spread betting markets for Sunday’s clash, including our “Goal Supremacy” market. This market currently has Newcastle favoured by 0.75-0.95 goals. This means that if you placed a “buy” bet, you would need Newcastle to win to start turning a profit. A one-goal victory for the Magpies would win you 0.05 times your stake, a two-goal win 1.05 times your stake, and so on.
However, if you bought and Newcastle drew or lost the game, you would lose money. Here, a one-goal loss would cost you 1.75 times your stake, a two-goal loss 2.75 times your stake, etc.
You can also bet on the total number of goals scored during the game with our Total Goals market. This is currently set at 3-3.2. If you’re expecting plenty of goalmouth action, you would “buy” and would need at least four total goals to turn a profit. Alternatively, if you expect the attackers to struggle at Molineux, you would “sell” and would need two goals or fewer to be scored in the game to profit. A three-goal result would return/cost nothing for sellers.
If you sold and the game ended in a 0-0 draw, you would win 3 times your stake. However, if you sold and the game ended 4-2, you would lose 3 times your stake. It’s important to remember that when spread betting, if your bet loses, you can lose multiples of your stake, so be sure to choose appropriate stake sizes for each market.
