Weekend's Big Winning Bets 16.09.26

It was another busy weekend for our online spread betting punters, and we have scanned through the results to see where they landed some big winning bets.

SASSUOLO v JUVENTUS – TOTAL GOAL MINUTES (SETTLED AT 416)

Sassuolo inflicted Juventus’ first defeat of the Serie A season in a crazy 3-2 victory, with all five goals coming in the second half. Before kick-off, Total Goal Minutes was available to trade at 133-143 and with the first hour of the match scoreless, went as low as 73-81.

However, the madness soon started, with Sebastiano Esposito putting the hosts 1-0 up after 65 minutes. Edon Zhegrova equalised for the Old Lady after 82 minutes, but Sassuolo looked to have won it in the 88th minute when Kieron Bowie slotted home. There was still time for drama though as Zhegrova scored his second to level it up, before some comically loose defending allowed Vasilije Adžić to curl home the winner for Sassuolo against his parent club in the 94th minute.

It was pandemonium in the Mapei Stadium with the Sassuolo bench spilling onto the pitch to join in with the celebrations. There would also have been celebrations for pre-match buyers on the Total Goal Minutes spread as they saw the market settle at 416, pocketing themselves a win of 273x their stake.

ENGLAND v PAKISTAN - FALL OF 1ST ENGLAND WICKET - 2ND INNINGS (SETTLED AT 0)

England wrapped up the Test summer with another victory over Pakistan, securing a clean sweep of the tourists as the post-Ben Stokes era begins to take shape. Pleasingly for most, Pakistan made more of a contest of the third Test than the opening two and they forced England into a fourth day.

There were some nerves jangling in the home dressing room when their first two wickets fell for just two runs. However, the calming presence of Joe Root helped guide the hosts to victory at Edgbaston.

Those anticipating a tricky start to the England innings made a decent amount of profit. You could trade the run spread of the first England wicket in the second innings at 40-44 when Ben Duckett and Emilio Gay came out to bat.

However, with Duckett falling to the first ball of the innings, sellers won a maximum 40x their stake.

IRISH OPEN - SHANE LOWRY LEADERBOARD (SETTLED AT 80)

There can have been few more popular sporting winners than Shane Lowry lifting the Irish Open. The home favourite demolished the field to win by 11 shots in a consummate display of front running which saw him card a tournament record score of 257 across all four holes.

Patrick Reed and Joaquin Niemann finished joint second, but the weekend was all about Lowry who can cap off a difficult year with a win in front of an adoring home crowd.

Those who sided with the popular 39-year-old on our Leaderboard spread were handsomely rewarded. Points are awarded on a sliding scale from 80 for the winner down to five for the 8th place finisher and before the first round began, you could trade Lowry at 5.5-7.5. A famous home win saw buyers win 82.5x their stake.
