Daily Spread Betting Round-up
The weekend’s weather lent itself perfectly to a few days on the sofa watching sport and there was plenty of action to get stuck into. We run through the highlights to find out where our online betting punters came out on top.
Please remember spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit. They may not be suitable for everyone so please ensure you fully understand the risks involved.
For the second time in a matter of days, England lost a T20 from an almost unassailable position as Pakistan climbed off the canvas to beat Harry Brook’s side in Lahore.
The hosts had been reduced to 154-9 in pursuit of 242 and, at that point, they were a highly unlikely 50/1 to record a victory. However, Shadab Khan had other ideas, and the all-rounder put up a record score of 133 for a number eight in ODIs. Supported by fellow former Yorkshire player Haris Rauf, the pair also put on a record last-wicket partnership in ODIs as the hosts claimed a remarkable victory.
Before Khan came to the crease, his player runs spread was available to trade at 27-31, with buyers landing a big winning bet of 82x their stake.
Sunderland ended a run of four straight defeats yesterday at home to Leeds United, but the Mackems remain bottom of the league. As Storm Boelo battered the UK, both sides huffed and puffed at a blustery Stadium Of Light, but neither could find a breakthrough as the match finished 0-0.
James Trafford made a couple of important saves in the Leeds goal, most notably when coming out on top in a one-on-one with Brian Brobbey in the first half. Sunderland goalkeeper Robin Roefs had to wait until late on to be properly tested, but he kept out Sean Longstaff’s late drive to preserve a clean sheet.
In truth, it was a very dull match, but that was great news for those who sold on Total Goal Minutes x Corners at 1150-1250. Without a goal scored, this market settled at zero, as sellers landed a big win of 1150x their stake.
Have you ever wondered how Paolo Maldini, Alessandro Nesta, or Gennaro Gattuso would cope with the famous Cheltenham Hill? Well, this weekend, the reverse happened (kind of) as former Champion Hurdler Constitution Hill turned up at the San Siro for the Gran Premio Del Jockey Club.
Located just over the road from the iconic football stadium of the same name, the hippodrome has hosted the Group 2 Gran Premio Del Jockey since 1921, with plenty of British winners over the years.
Constitution Hill was unable to add his name to the honours board however, trailing home in fifth place. Sent off with a Race Index spread of 17-20, a finish outside the frame meant that sellers landed a win of 17x their stake.
Please note that these are examples of winning bets from the past week, and it is important to remember that spread betting carries a high level of risk to your capital and can result in losses larger than your initial stake/deposit.
