INOUI MACHIN has progressed nicely since catching the eye on his debut when a an 18-1 fourth of 13 in a Chepstow bumper back in November 2022, landing bumpers at Doncaster and Chepstow before his solid two-length third over today’s track and trip on his seasonal/hurdles debuts. He was over 14 lengths back in third place in a 2m3.5f novices’ hurdle, also at Doncaster, last time but didn’t see out the extra three furlongs and the form was boosted when the winner went close to following up at Taunton earlier this week. Fourth-placed Zain Nights gave the form another uplift when scoring at Market Rasen yesterday and Neil Mulholland’s six-year-old is likely to prove hard to beat. KEMPTON 8.30

HEARTRATE has drawn a blank in all five of his all-weather outings but has placed in four of them and the son of Dragon Pulse is bred to appreciate the switch to Kempton’s Polytrack for the first time. Backing his sire’s progeny at the Sunbury venue would have found 25 winners from 167 bets (15% strike-rate) for a profit of £59.83 to a £1 level stake at SP. The four-year-old is nicely drawn in stall 6 and represents an in-form trainer/jockey combination. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price.
