Arsenal made it three wins from three in the Premier League on Sunday 6th September, beating Chelsea 2-1 at the Emirates and extending the wait for the Blues’ last victory over the Gunners to 1,841 days.
Chelsea made the perfect start when Morgan Rogers opened the scoring inside the second minute, but Arsenal hit back through former Chelsea forward Kai Havertz to ensure the sides went into half time level.
The Gunners stepped up the pressure after the break and completed the comeback when Martin Ødegaard found the winner, maintaining Arsenal’s perfect start to the Premier League season.

It’s a London derby this weekend as Arsenal welcome Chelsea to the Emirates Stadium in the standout fixture of the week. Both sides have made perfect starts to the league season, with Arsenal securing victories over Coventry and Aston Villa, while Chelsea have picked up wins over Fulham and Brighton, whilst also beating Luton in the Carabao Cup.
The star men have also wasted little time making their mark, with Bukayo Saka finding the net in both of Arsenal’s opening games. For Chelsea, Joao Pedro and Cole Palmer have both scored in each of their first two league matches, highlighting the threat posed by the Blues’ attack.
The reigning champions will be keen to lay down a marker against their title rivals, having remained unbeaten in their last 11 competitive meetings with Chelsea. However, the Blues look revitalised under new boss Xabi Alonso and should provide a stern test for Mikel Arteta’s side.

Arsenal are the favourites to win this fixture, priced at 7/10 on Spreadex’s fixed odds market (4/6 on our 2 Up early payout Match Odds market) with visitors Chelsea priced at 4/1 (18/5 on the 2 Up early payout market) and the draw at 13/5.
The last time these two sides met, Arsenal ran out 2-1 winners, with William Saliba and Jurrien Timber getting on the scoresheet for the Gunners. Chelsea’s only goal came via an unfortunate Piero Hincapié own goal. A repeat of that scoreline this time round is priced at 7/1.
Alternatively, if you’re expecting Arsenal to win with Chelsea getting on the scoresheet without picking an exact result, Arsenal To Win & BTTS is available at 23/10.
Our football spread betting prices have Arsenal as the favourites with a Goal Supremacy quote of Arsenal/Chelsea 0.75 – 0.95. This means a 'buy' bet at 0.95 would need an Arsenal win to start turning a profit (e.g. one goal win would win 0.05x your stake, two goal win would win 1.05x your stake etc.).
A 0.75 'sell' bet would need a draw or Chelsea win to turn a profit (e.g. a draw would win 0.75x your stake and a one goal Chelsea win would win 1.75x your stake etc.).
Our spread betting Total Goals line is 2.75 – 2.95. So, a 2.95 'buy' bet would need at least three goals to be scored in the match to start turning a profit. Conversely, a ‘2.75’ sell bet would need two goals or less to be scored in the match to turn a profit.
Remember that with spread betting, get the bet wrong and losses can exceed your stake/deposit. E.g. a 2.95 'buy' Total Goals bet would lose 2.95x your stake if the match ended 0-0. In the 0.95 'buy' Supremacy bet example above, a draw would lose 0.95x your stake and a one goal Chelsea win would lose 1.95x your stake etc. And in the 0.75 'sell' Supremacy example above, the bet would lose 0.25x your stake on a one goal Arsenal win and 1.25x your stake on a two goal Arsenal win etc.

Chelsea have been fast starters in this seasons Premier League with Joao Pedro scoring their fastest ever Premier League goal in just 31 seconds against Fulham whilst Romeo Lavia opened the scoring in the 4th minute v Brighton. This time round the spread for First Match Goal is 33 – 36. This means that if there were a repeat of opening minute drama a sell at 31 would win 32x your stake whilst a fourth minute opening goal would win 29x your stake.
Remember that with spread betting, get the bet wrong and losses can exceed your stake/deposit. So for example if the First Match Goal was scored in the 55th minute a ‘sell’ at 33 would lose 22x times your stake.
