Leeds were thoroughly outclassed in both meetings with Arsenal last season, but the Whites’ early impressive form means that a win over the Gunners this weekend will see them leapfrog last season’s champions in the table. The Yorkshire side generally do not fare well in the capital, and they have an equally poor record in early kick-offs, so it is safe to say that no Leeds fan will be getting carried away ahead of the weekend.
As for Arsenal, they need to bounce back following a mauling at the hands of Brighton last time out. Mikel Arteta’s side were outworked by the Seagulls in that clash, but it is the only blemish on a record which has seen them win every other match in the league, alongside wins over Napoli and Ipswich in the Champions League and League Cup respectively.
Arteta will have to contend with some injuries as Kai Havertz, Christos Tzolis, and Ezri Konsa all picked up injuries during the international break. Declan Rice is expected to be available whilst William Saliba remains sidelined until December. Joe Rodon is a long term injury for Leeds, and his fellow Welshman Harry Wilson is a doubt for the Yorkshire side after missing the 0-0 draw with Crystal Palace and international duty.

Arsenal are strong favourites ahead of this clash, with the Gunners expected to extend their impressive recent record over Leeds at 4/11. Leeds haven’t won in eight visits to the Emirates Stadium and their last win in this corner of North London came back in 2003 when a Mark Viduka goal secured a dramatic 3-2 win for the Whites, alongside Premier League safety.
An away win on Saturday lunchtime can be backed at 13/2, with the Peacocks 6/1 on our 2 Up market. The draw can be backed at 4/1.
Despite being away with England, Dominic Calvert-Lewin saw just 17 minutes of action and the former Everton man will be looking to continue his impressive start to the season and he is 8/11 to have 1+ shot on target and 18/5 to have 2+.
Leeds were scoreless against Arsenal last season and despite their 3-0 hammering at Brighton, the champions have looked solid at the back again. You can trade the 1st Leeds Goal spread at 64-67 (remember that if Leeds fail to score, the market settles at 90). One other market worth a look, especially given both sides prowess at set pieces, is the Headed Goal Minutes spread which is currently 27-30.
In our other popular markets, Total Goal Minutes is 140-150, and Total Goals has been set at 2.75-2.95.
