Arsenal v Wigan betting form

Premier League leaders Arsenal come into Sunday’s FA Cup clash boasting a record of just one defeat in their last 18 matches across all competitions.

The Gunners were held to a 1-1 draw in the Premier League in midweek after a tough encounter away at Brentford on Thursday night.

However, they still sit four points clear at the top of the table and continue to chase silverware on four fronts. What are the odds on Arsenal winning the quadruple? Mikel Arteta’s side remain favourites to win every tournament they are still competing in; 2/7 to win the Premier League, 4/5 to win the Carabao Cup, 3/1 to win the FA Cup and 7/2 to win the Champions League. Spreadex’s price on Arsenal to win the quadruple for the 2025-26 season is 28/1.

ARSENAL RECENT PREMIER LEAGUE FORM

DRAW: Brentford 1-1 Arsenal. Thursday 12th February 2026.

WIN: Arsenal 3-0 Sunderland. Saturday 7th February 2026.

WIN: Leeds 0-4 Arsenal. Saturday 31st January 2026.

LOSS: Arsenal 2-3 Manchester United. Sunday 25th January 2026.

League One strugglers Wigan’s preparation for the game is in stark contrast to the Gunners, with interim boss Glenn Whelan at the helm following the sacking of manager Ryan Lowe.

A dismal run of just one win their last 12 league matches, including just one point from a possible last 21, has plunged the Latics into the drop zone, leaving them two points from safety behind a clutch of clubs all on 33 points just above them – Doncaster, Northampton, Leyton Orient and Blackpool in a battle royal at the wrong end of the table.

So will Sunday prove to be a welcome distraction from the toils of a relegation fight or an unwanted test against arguably the strongest side in Europe let alone England?

WIGAN RECENT LEAGUE ONE FORM

LOSS: Wigan 0-1 Lincoln. Saturday 31st January 2026.

LOSS: Wycombe 2-0 Wigan. Tuesday 27th January 2026.

What are the best odds on Arsenal v Wigan?

Our traders don’t give the visitors much hope with the Latics priced at 25/1 to pull off a major shock, 22/1 on the 2-Up early payout market, and the draw at 16/1.

Arsenal v Wigan football spread betting prices

So one sided do the Spreadex odds compilers see this one, that they have Arsenal as three goal favourites over their League One opponents with the football spread betting Goal Supremacy price Arsenal/Wigan 3.05 – 3.35.

This means a buy at 3.35 would need Arsenal to win by at least four clear goals to start turning a profit. However, sellers at 3.05 would start to make money even if the game ended up with Arsenal winning by three goals.

For example a buy at 3.35 would return 0.65 x your stake on a four clear goal Arsenal win, 1.65 x your stake on a five clear goal Arsenal win, 2.65 x your stake on a six clear goal Arsenal win etc.

For sellers at 3.05, if Arsenal were to win by three goals you would win 0.05 x your stake, a two goal Arsenal win would return 1.05 x your stake, a one goal Arsenal win would return 2.05 x your stake, a draw would return 3.05 x your stake, a single goal Wigan win would return 4.05 x your stake and so on.

Our spread betting Total Goals market is priced at 4 – 4.3. So you would need at least five goals to be scored in the game to start turning a profit on a 'buy'. E.g. a ‘buy’ at 4.3 would return a profit of 0.7 x your stake on five total goals, 1.7 x your stake if six goals were scored in the game etc. For a ‘sell’ at 4, you would need three goals or fewer to be scored to turn a profit. E.g. three goals in the game would return 1 x your stake, two goals in the game would return 2 x your stake, one goal in the game would return 3 x your stake and goalless draw would return 4 x your stake.

Remember that with spread betting, get the bet wrong and losses can exceed your stake/deposit. E.g. a Total Goals 'buy' at 4.3 would lose 4.3 x your stake if the match ended 0-0. In the Supremacy ‘buy’ example at 3.35 above, if Arsenal won by three goals you would lose 0.35 x your stake, if Arsenal won by two goals you would lose 1.35 x your stake, if Arsenal one by one goal you would lose 2.35 x your stake, if the game ended a draw then the bet would lose 3.35 x your stake, if Wigan won by a goal you would lose 4.35 x your stake and so on.

In the 3.05 'sell' Supremacy example above, if Arsenal won by four goals then the bet would lose 0.95 x your stake, if Arsenal won by five goals then it would lose 1.95 x your stake, if Arsenal won by six goals then it would lose 2.95 x your stake etc.

Arsenal v Wigan betting specials and price boosts

The last meeting between the sides actually came in the FA Cup in April 2014. That one saw the Latics hosting the Gunners however and ended in a 1-1 draw with Arsenal eventually progressing 4-2 on penalties.

A repeat of that scoreline is priced at 20/1 while Arsenal to win on penalties is 80/1!

The last time the sides faced each other at the Emirates was on Tuesday 14th May 2013 in the Premier League when Arsenal ran out 4-1 winners with Lukas Podolski (2), Theo Walcott and Aaron Ramsey on target for the hosts and Shaun Maloney bagging for the visitors. A repeat of that Arsenal 4 Wigan 1 scoreline is 12/1 with Spreadex Sports.

In terms of Price Boosts, Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli have both found playing time limited in recent weeks so will both Gabriels get a start and chance to prove themselves at the weekend? Martinelli in particular will be keen to make amends after his late one-on-one miss against Brentford in midweek. Jesus and Martinelli both to score is boosted from 12/5 to 11/4.
