Blackburn Rovers v Preston North End Betting Form?

With Burnley and Blackpool absent from the second tier this season, fans of Blackburn and Preston have to settle for derby matches against each other and Friday’s clash will have ramifications at either end of the table.

Two wins in their last three matches have lifted Blackburn out of the bottom three and they will be hoping to pull themselves away from danger. New manager Michael O’Neill was in the dugout for their 3-1 win on the road at QPR and the Northern Irishman – who is juggling international demands as well as domestic – will need all of his experience if he is to guide Rovers to safety.

Todd Cantwell was the latest addition to Rovers’ long injury list whilst Lewis Miller, who was stretchered off in the win against QPR, will be out for the rest of the season.

BLACKBURN RECENT FORM

WIN: QPR 1-3 Blackburn. Saturday 14th February 2026.
LOSS: Norwich City 2-0 Blackburn. Saturday 7th February 2026.
WIN: Blackburn 1-0 Sheffield Wednesday. Tuesday 3rd February 2026.

Preston have seen their early season form fade away, but they have strung together a mini unbeaten run in the league and they will be looking to avoid consecutive defeats against their Lancashire rivals.

Preston have won just one of their last five league away games, whilst only a hapless Sheffield Wednesday have a worse home record than Blackburn, so it will be interesting to see what happens tomorrow.

PRESTON RECENT FORM

DRAW: Preston 2-2 Watford. Saturday 14th February 2026.
WIN: Preston 1-0 Portsmouth. Saturday 7th February 2026.
DRAW: Ipswich 1-1 Preston. Saturday 31st February 2026.

What Are The Best Odds On Blackburn Rovers v Preston North End?

Blackburn are aiming to do the double over Preston for just the third time this century and Rovers are even money to do just that. The ownership at Ewood Park will be hoping the new manager bounce continues and you can also back the hosts at 19/20 with our 2 Up concession.

Preston meanwhile are priced at 14/5 to win, 13/5 on the 2 Up, and the draw can be backed at 23/10.

Andri Gudjohnsen is without doubt the main danger man for Blackburn. The 24-year-old is part of an Icelandic footballing dynasty stretching back three generations and he has been averaging one goal in every three matches so far this season with seven strikes in 21 games. The London-born, Icelandic international will be one to look out for in our goalscorer markets.

Blackburn Rovers v Preston North End Spread Betting Prices

With both sides in the top half for yellow cards awarded this season and with Preston being shown three red cards so far this term, we thought we would focus on the bookings related spread betting markets ahead of this one.

In spread betting, the points system works as it does in normal fixed odds, that is ten points for a yellow card and 25 points for a red card. Players earning a second yellow card sending off would accumulate a total of 35 points and any yellows given to players not on the field of play, or after the full time whistle do not count.

Ahead of Friday’s clash in east Lancashire you can buy or sell bookings at 43-47 with the previous meeting between the two seeing just ten points accumulated.

There is also our Multi-Bookings market (first half bookings total multiplied the by points total for the second half) which is priced at 395-485 and Cross-Bookings (Blackburn’s booking points total multiplied by Preston’s) which can be traded at 480-550.
