There’s a new man steering the ship for the first time in ten years at the Etihad after Pep Guardiola’s shock exit last season, and Enzo Maresca will be hoping to get straight to winning ways as he aims to fill the legendary manager’s boots. City have also added a big name to their midfield this summer, with Elliot Anderson joining from Forest for an English record-breaking £116 million, though he is the only star name City have brought in currently going into this game. Can Maresca get off to a winning start as Manchester City boss?

Our football spread betting prices have the Supremacy as Arsenal / Man City at -0.1–0.1. This means a ‘buy’ bet at 0.1 would need Arsenal to win by one goal to start turning a profit (e.g. a one-goal win would win 0.9× your stake, a two-goal win 1.9× your stake, a three-goal win 2.9× your stake, etc.).
A -0.1 ‘sell’ bet would need either a draw, or Manchester City to win, to turn a profit (e.g. a draw would win 0.1× your stake, and a Manchester City win by one goal would win 1.1× your stake, etc.).
Our spread betting Total Goals line is 2.65–2.85. This means a 2.85 ‘buy’ bet would need at least three goals to be scored in the match to start turning a profit (three goals would return a profit of 0.15× your stake). Conversely, a 2.65 ‘sell’ bet would need two goals or fewer to be scored in the match to turn a profit (three goals would result in a small loss of 0.35× your stake).
Remember that with spread betting, if you get the bet wrong, losses can exceed your stake/deposit. For example, a 2.85 ‘buy’ Total Goals bet would lose 2.85× your stake if the match ended 0–0. In the 0.1 ‘buy’ Supremacy bet example above, if the game ended a draw, the bet would lose 0.1× your stake. If Manchester City won by one goal, then it would lose 1.1× your stake, etc. And in the -0.1 ‘sell’ Supremacy example above, the bet would lose 1.1× your stake on a 1–0 Arsenal win, 2.1× your stake on a 2–0 Arsenal win, etc.
