Crystal Palace earned themselves a spot in the Europa League by winning last season’s Conference League, a tournament they qualified for by virtue of winning the FA Cup. It has been a groundbreaking period for the Eagles over the last couple of years, but with Oliver Glasner now gone, the side looks to heading for a period of transition. It’s been a tricky start to the season so far, and they sit 16th after the opening four matches of the Premier League. However, another cup run, especially a European one, would give fans some reason for optimism once again. Can they get off to a good start in this one?

One of Poland’s greatest sides, Lech Poznań are veterans of European football. A thumping 9-2 victory on aggregate in a play-off against Swiss side Thun helped the Railwaymen return to the Europa League for the first time since 2020. Niels Frederiksen’s side will be hoping to improve on their last showing after failing to progress through the group stage last time out, but a strong start to their domestic season will have them full of confidence as they head to London.

Palace are odds-on favourites to win at home despite a shaky start to the season. The Eagles are currently priced at 4/11 to win, and you can back them at the same price in our 2-Up Early Payout market, which pays out if your team goes two goals up at any time during the game.
Lech Poznań are the underdogs for their trip to south London. You can back them to cause an upset and win at 6/1, or at 5/1 in our 2-Up market.

We also offer a number of spread betting markets for Saturday’s game, including our Goal Supremacy market. This market currently has Palace favoured by 1.35-1.55 goals. This means that if you placed a “buy” bet, you would need the Eagles to win by at least two goals to start turning a profit. A two-goal victory for Palace would win you 0.45 times your stake, a three-goal win 1.45 times your stake, and so on.
However, if you bought and Palace drew or lost the game, you would lose money. Here, a draw would cost you 1.35 times your stake, whilst a one-goal loss would cost you 2.35 times your stake etc.
You can also bet on the total number of goals scored during the game with our Total Goals market. This is currently set at 3.1-3.3. If you’re expecting a high-scoring game, you would “buy” and would need at least four total goals to turn a profit. Alternatively, if you expect a low-scoring affair, you could “sell” and would need three goals or fewer to turn a profit.
If you sold and the game ended 1-0, you would win 2.1 times your stake. However, if you sold and the game ended 4-2, you would lose 2.9 times your stake. It’s important to remember that when spread betting, if your bet loses, you can lose multiples of your stake, so be sure to choose appropriate stake sizes for each market.
