The last match between Everton and Chelsea was a Premier League clash on Saturday, 17 October 2026. Chelsea won 2-0.
Both sides struggled to properly get going in the first half, but the game sparked into action after the break. The visitors scored just one minute into the second half through Pedro Neto, and the Chelsea winger added a second in stoppage time to seal the three points for the Blues. The game was somewhat overshadowed by a head injury to Chelsea goalkeeper Emi Martinez, who had to stretchered from the field in the second half. This result saw Chelsea move up to 4th in the table, while Everton's first loss of the season dropped them down to 8th. Read our pre-match betting preview below.

Everton have quietly had a very strong start to the season. Unbeaten in all competitions, and sitting fifth in the Premier League table will have Toffees fans feeling optimistic as the season progresses. David Moyes will only be hoping that his side can start turning draws into wins, with just two in the league’s first six games. Can they find a win in this one?

Chelsea have been much more up and down this year, but Xabi Alonso’s side find themselves just spot below Everton and playing some of the most exciting football in the league. The Blues’ front three of Cole Palmer, Morgan Rogers and Joao Pedro continue to show they are one of the league’s most potent attacks, and with veteran midfielder Jordan Henderson even finding the back of the net, Chelsea have real fire power. Will we see more goals from them on Saturday?

Chelsea are the favourites away from home in this one. You can back them to win at 23/20, or at 21/20 in our 2-Up Early Payout market, which pays out if your team goes two goals up at any time during the game.
Everton are the underdogs despite their unbeaten record this season. You can back them to win at 9/4, or at 2/1 in our 2-Up market. If you’re expecting a close-run affair, you can back the draw at 13/5.

We also offer a number of spread betting markets for Saturday’s game, including our Goal Supremacy market. This market currently has Chelsea favoured by 0.25-0.45 goals. This means that if you placed a “buy” bet, you would need the Blues to win to start turning a profit. A one-goal victory for Chelsea would win you 0.55 times your stake, a two-goal win 1.55 times your stake, and so on.
However, if you bought and Chelsea lost or drew the game, you would lose money. Here, a draw would cost you 0.45 times your stake, whilst a one-goal loss would cost you 1.45 times your stake.
You can also bet on the total number of goals scored during the game with our Total Goals market. This line is currently set at 3-3.2 goals. If you’re expecting a high-scoring game, you would “buy” and would need at least four total goals to turn a profit. Alternatively, if you expect a low-scoring affair, you could “sell” and would need two goals or fewer to turn a profit.
If you sold and the game ended 1-0, you would win 2 times your stake. However, if you sold and the game ended 4-2, you would lose 3 times your stake. It’s important to remember that when spread betting, if your bet loses, you can lose multiples of your stake, so be sure to choose appropriate stake sizes for each market.
