How to watch Hull v ChelseaLive on BBC One.
Hull are enjoying perhaps their best Championship season since being promoted to the Premier League over a decade ago. The Tigers sit 4th in the table and are only five points adrift of an automatic promotion spot. Sergej Jakirović’s side played fellow Championship team Blackburn in the third round, and stuck through on penalties after neither side managed to break the deadlock after extra time. They will need to be at their best in the fourth round if they are to overcome Premier League opposition.

Liam Rosenior opened his managerial tenure with a fantastic 5-1 victory and will be hoping to continue that form and begin a deep FA Cup run. The Chelsea boss will be returning to familiar territory this Friday, having made 144 appearances for Hull as a player. Can he lead his side through to the fifth round?

Visitors Chelsea will come into this one as the favourites after looking very strong in the last round. You can back the Blues to win the match in 90 minutes at 2/7, or at 1/4 in our 2 Up market which pays out if your team goes up by two goals during the match. Hosts Hull will be the underdogs as they take on a side 19 league positions higher than them. You can back the Tigers to win at 9/1 or at 15/2 in our 2 Up market.
If you’re expecting a stalemate, you can back the game to be tied after 90 minutes at 5/1. Hull needed extra time and penalties to progress through the last round, and you can back them to win with a shootout again at 20/1.

We also offer a number of spread betting markets for Friday’s clash, including our “Goal Supremacy” market. This market currently has Chelsea as favourites, with the Blues favoured by 1.7-1.9 goals. This means that if you placed a “buy” bet, you would need Chelsea to win by at least two goals to start turning a profit, and if you sold, you would need Hull to win or draw or lose by one goal. If you bought, a two-goal victory for Chelsea would win you 0.1 times your stake, a three-goal victory 1.1 times your stake, and so on.
However, if you bought and Chelsea lost, drew or only won by one, you would lose money. Here, a one-goal loss would cost you 2.9 times your stake, a two-goal loss 3.9 times your stake, etc.
You can also bet on the total number of goals scored during the game with our Total Goals market. This is currently set at 3.25-3.45. If you’re expecting plenty of goalmouth action, you would “buy” and would need at least four total goals to turn a profit. Alternatively, if you expect a low-scoring affair, you could “sell” and would need three goals or fewer to turn a profit.
If you sold and the game ended 1-0, you would win 2.25 times your stake. However, if you sold and the game ended 4-2 you would lose 2.75 times your stake. It’s important to remember that when spread betting, if your bet loses, you can lose multiples of your stake, so be sure to choose appropriate stake sizes for each market.
