ICC World Test Championship Betting Preview

The ICC World Test Championship is a two-year league competition that determines the best team in Test cricket, the sport’s longest format. During each cycle, leading cricket nations play scheduled Test series against selected opponents, earning points based on results. Teams are ranked on a points table, and at the end of the cycle, the top two teams qualify for a one-off five-day final. The winner of that final is crowned the World Test Champion.

ICC World Test Championship Guide

In the most recent ICC World Test Championship final, held from 11–14 June 2025 at Lord’s in London, South Africa beat Australia by 5 wickets to win the 2023–25 cycle. South Africa were chasing a target of 282 runs, and thanks to a century (136) from Aiden Markram and solid contributions from others, they reached the total on the fourth day, making it one of the higher successful run chases at Lord’s. This victory gave South Africa their first major ICC title in 27 years and marked their maiden World Test Championship win.
