Spreadex Sports previews the upcoming 2025/26 FA Cup Third Round fixture between Man Utd and Brighton. The Red Devils are still in search of their next permanent (or interim) manager after Ruben Amorim's sudden exit last week, and this may be caretaker boss Darren Fletcher's chance to stake a claim for the role with a win at Old Trafford.
Brighton, meanwhile, come into this one with just one win in their last eight matches in all competitions, but may have gained some confidence after securing a point in their Premier League fixture with title challengers Man City last time out.
Who will come out on top at Old Trafford in this cup clash and progress to Round Four?
When is Man Utd v Brighton?Sunday, January 11th 2026.
What time is kick-off for Man Utd v Brighton?4.30pm, UK time.
Where is Man Utd v Brighton being played? Old Trafford, Manchester.

Neither side come into this one in optimal form and as such both will fancy their chances of progress in the FA Cup, which could theoretically be a viable route into European football come the end of the season.
Man Utd's last outing saw a relatively underwhelming draw at Turf Moor against Burnley in Darren Fletcher's first match in temporary charge, and the Red Devils have drawn five and lost two of their last ten matches, including three consecutive draws.
Brighton have had almost an identical run in their last ten, with four losses and three draws, including two of their last three being draws.

The Spreadex Sports fixed odds Match Odds betting prices have Man Utd as 17/20 favourites to secure an away victory while our 2 Up early pay out market, which pays out when a team goes two goals up, has the Red Devils at 3/4.
Brighton meanwhile are available at 27/10 for the away victory (23/10 on our 2 Up market), with the draw at 3/1.
Brighton have been somewhat of a bogey team for Utd over recent years, with the Seagulls winning an impressive six of the last ten meetings. However, the most recent meeting at Old Trafford last October saw Utd flip the script and secure a 4-2 victory.
Four of the last five meetings have seen Both Teams Scoring, and you can back Both to Score - Yes at 40/85 here.
Our football spread betting prices have the Goal Supremacy as Man Utd/Brighton 0.55 - 0.75. This means if Utd won 4-2 (or by any other two goal margin), a 'buy' bet at 0.75 would mean a return of 1.25x your initial stake.
However, if you bought at 0.75 in Utd's favour and the match ended goalless, you would lose 0.75x your stake. Or, if Brighton were to grab a 1-0 (or any other one goal margin) win, the market would settle negatively at -1 and a buy at 0.75 would result in a loss of 1.75x your opening stake.
You can calculate various make-ups by using our handy spread betting calculator, found here.
Our spread betting Total Goals line is 3.25 - 3.45. So a 3.45 'buy' bet would need at least four goals to be scored in the match to start turning a profit. Conversely, a 3.25 sell bet would need less than three goals to be scored in the match to turn a profit.
Remember that with spread betting, get the bet wrong and losses can exceed your stake/deposit. E.g. a 3.45 'buy' Total Goals bet would lose 3.45x your opening stake if the match ended 0-0, and so on.
We have several pre-built Popular Bet-Builders, including Brighton to win, Brighton most corners & Man United most cards - 20/1, Benjamin Sesko to score anytime, Man United to win & Over 2.5 goals - 13/5, Over 4.5 goals, Over 11.5 corners & Over 5.5 cards - 22/1 and much more!
