SOUTH AFRICA V CANADA BETTING FORM

South Africa made the knockouts for the first time in World Cup history after stealing a win against South Korea in their final group game. Bafana Bafana have already played one of this summer’s host nations, losing to Mexico after being reduced to nine men in a disappointing opener. Now they have another crack at the hosts as they take on Canada. Can they progress to the Round of 16?

SOUTH AFRICA FORM

WIN: South Africa 1-1 South Korea, 25 June 2026
DRAW: Czechia 1-1 South Africa, 18 June 2026
LOSS: Mexico 2-0 South Africa, 11 June 2026

Canada have also made history at this summer’s tournament, qualifying for the knockouts also for the first time in the nation’s history. However, they will be rueing their defeat to Switzerland in the final group game which saw them finish second and means they will no longer have home advantage at any point for the remainder of the competition. Nonetheless, Jessie March’s men have looked strong, scoring eight through their opening three matches. Can they continue their World Cup run this Sunday?

CANADA FORM

LOSS: Switzerland 2-1 Canada, 24 June 2026
WIN: Canada 6-0 Qatar, 18 June 2026
DRAW: Canada 1-1 Bosnia & Herzegovina, 12 June 2026

SOUTH AFRICA V CANADA FOOTBALL SPREAD BETTING PRICES

We also offer a number of spread betting markets for Sunday’s match, including our Goal Supremacy market. This market currently has Canada favoured by 0.75-0.95 goals. This means that if you placed a “buy” bet, you would need Canada to win to start turning a profit. A one-goal victory for Canada would win you 0.05 times your stake, a two-goal win 1.05 times your stake, and so on.

However, if you bought and Canada drew or lost, you would lose money. Here, a one-goal loss for South Africa would cost you 1.95 times your stake, whilst a draw would cost you 0.95 times your stake.

You can also bet on the total number of goals scored during the game with our Total Goals market. This is currently set at 2.35-2.55. If you’re expecting a high-scoring game, you would “buy” and would need at least three total goals to turn a profit. Alternatively, if you expect a low-scoring affair, you could “sell” and would need two goals or fewer to turn a profit.

If you sold and the game ended 1-0, you would win 1.35 times your stake. However, if you sold and the game ended 4-2, you would lose 3.65 times your stake. It’s important to remember that when spread betting, if your bet loses, you can lose multiples of your stake, so be sure to choose appropriate stake sizes for each market.
