Sunderland v Tottenham betting form

Sunderland, promoted via the Championship play-offs in May last year, go into the game sitting impressively in 11th place in the table. The Black Cats are just three points behind Brentford in seventh spot and, significantly, a place above their fierce north-east rivals Newcastle.

Regis Le Bris’s men haven’t played since a memorable 2-1 victory against the Toon at St James’s Park on Sunday 22nd March. Before that, form was mixed with five defeats in eight in all competitions including an embarrassing 1-0 defeat to League One strugglers Port Vale in the FA Cup.

That period also saw Sunderland lose three home league games in a row against Liverpool, Fulham and Brighton having previously been unbeaten all season at the Stadium of Light.

SUNDERLAND RECENT PREMIER LEAGUE FORM

WIN: Newcastle 1-2 Sunderland. Sunday 22nd March 2026.
LOSS: Sunderland 0-1 Brighton. Saturday 14th March 2026.
WIN: Leeds 0-1 Sunderland. Tuesday 3rd March 2026.
DRAW: Bournemouth 1-1 Sunderland. Saturday 28th February 2026.

Crisis club Tottenham welcome new boss Roberto De Zerbi to the helm, hoping the former Marseille and Brighton boss can give them a much-needed new manager bounce.

Spurs are bottom of the Premier League form table with their last league win coming way back on December 28th thanks to a 1-0 victory at Crystal Palace.

Since then the Lillywhites have played 13 league games, picking up just five points from a possible 39 leaving them just a point above West Ham in the relegation zone. With Igor Tudor lasting just 44 days after replacing the sacked Thomas Frank, Spurs fans will be pinning all their hopes on De Zerbi turning around the sinking ship.

TOTTENHAM RECENT PREMIER LEAGUE FORM

Sunderland v Tottenham football spread betting prices

The sports spread betting prices on Sunderland v Tottenham can’t split the teams with the Goal Supremacy a ‘choice’ offering of Sunderland/ Tottenham -0.1 – 0.1.

This means that the mid-point of the spread is exactly on 0 (i.e. the game being a draw). So a ‘buy’ at 0.1 would need Sunderland to win to return a profit (e.g.one goal Sunderland win would return 0.9 x your stake, two goal Sunderland win 1.9 x your stake etc.).

And a sell at -0.1 would need Spurs to win to return a profit (e.g. one goal Spurs win would return 0.9 x your stake, two goal Spurs win 1.9 x your stake etc.).

Our spread betting Total Goals line is 2.6 – 2.8. So a 'buy' bet at 2.8 would need at least three goals to be scored in the match to start turning a profit. Oppositely, a 2.6 sell bet would need two goals or less to be scored in the match to turn a profit.

Remember that with spread betting, get the bet wrong and losses can exceed your stake/deposit. E.g. a 2.8 'buy' Total Goals bet would lose 2.8 x your stake if the match ended 0-0, would lose 1.8 x your stake if only one goal was scored in total and lose 0.8 x your stake if only two goals were scored in total.

In the 0.1 'buy' Supremacy bet example above, if the game ended a draw the bet would lose 0.1 x your stake. If Spurs won by one goal then it would lose 1.1 x your stake, if Spurs won by two goals then lose 2.1 x your stake etc. And in the -0.1 'sell' Supremacy example above, if the game ended a draw then the bet would again lose 0.1 x your stake. If Sunderland won by one goal then the bet would lose 1.1 x your stake, if Sunderland won by two goals would lose 2.1 x your stake etc.

Sunderland v Tottenham betting specials and price boosts

The meeting between the sides earlier in the season finished 1-1 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The same result this time around is priced at 11/2.

The last meeting between the sides at the Stadium of Light was way back in January 2017. The game ended goalless desite Sunderland fielding players such as Jermaine Defoe, Jack Rodwell and Fabio Borini, and with Spurs including the likes of Harry Kane, Son Heung-Min, Delle Ali and Christian Eriksen in their side. If you felt there were to be no goals scored in the game you could always opt to sell on our Total Goals, Total Goal Minutes, Goal Rush, Total Goals Cubed or Rainbow Goals markets. However, it’s important to remember that losses could exceed more than your stake and deposit should a number of goals end up scoring scored. In terms of Price Boosts we have Granit Xhaka and Pape Sarr to be carded boosted from 8/1 to 10/1 or Sunderland trio Chemsdine Talbi, Brian Brobbey and Habib Diarra all to have 1+ shot on target is pushed out from 3/1 to 7/2.
