Spreadex Sports previews the upcoming 2025/26 Champions League fixture between Tottenham and Borussia Dortmund as the beleaguered Spurs look to get back to winning ways, with manager Thomas Frank's job in serious jeopardy.
German visitors Dortmund have been in relatively strong domestic form recently and have suffered just one defeat in their last ten matches in all competitions, and currently sit on the same points and goal difference as Spurs in the UCL standings, meaning a win here for either side will be a welcome boost in their quest for a place in the knockout rounds.
Who will grab the crucial three points in North London?
When is Tottenham v Dortmund? Tuesday, January 20th 2026.
What time is kick-off for Tottenham v Dortmund?8pm, UK time.

Thomas Frank may well have expected to already been sacked after a terrible run of form with five losses and two draws in their last eight matches, which have seen them exit the FA Cup and lose ground in the Premier League.
However, the Champions League has been a source of some joy and the North London side have a healthy record six matches in, with a win here almost rubber-stamping a passage through to the knockouts rounds.
Dortmund are still fighting on two fronts - albeit lagging considerably behind runaway Bundesliga leaders Bayern - and will equally be keen to keep up their strong progress continentally here.

The Spreadex Sports fixed odds Match Odds betting prices have Dortmund as 13/10 favourites to secure an away victory while our 2 Up early pay out market, which pays out when a team goes two goals up, has them at 5/4.
Spurs, meanwhile, are underdogs despite home advantage and are available at 19/10 for the victory (17/10 on our 2 Up market), with the draw at 5/2.
H2H form is limited with these two sides having only met six times before, but Spurs may be heartened by the fact they have won four of those meetings, and those four were the four most recent meetings. These included doing the double over the Black and Yellows in the 2017/18 and 2018/19 Champions League campaigns.
In all of the H2Hs, three have seen both teams score and three have not, including the last two. Both to Score - Yes is at 8/13, while No is available at 5/4.
Our football spread betting prices have the Goal Supremacy as Dortmund/Spurs 0.1 - 0.3. This means if Dortmund won 2-0 (or by any other two goal margin), a 'buy' bet at 0.3 would mean a return of 1.7x your initial stake.
However, if you bought at 0.3 in Dortmund's favour and the match ended goalless, you would lose 0.3x your stake. Or, if Spurs were to grab a 2-1 (or any other one goal margin) win, the market would settle negatively at -1 and a buy at 0.3 would result in a loss of 1.3x your opening stake.
You can calculate various make-ups by using our handy spread betting calculator, found here.
Our spread betting Total Goals line is 2.85 - 3.05. So a 3.05 'buy' bet would need at least four goals to be scored in the match to start turning a profit. Conversely, a 2.85 sell bet would need less than three goals to be scored in the match to turn a profit.
Remember that with spread betting, get the bet wrong and losses can exceed your stake/deposit. E.g. a 3.05 'buy' Total Goals bet would lose 3.05x your opening stake if the match ended 0-0, and so on.
We have several pre-built Popular Bet-Builders, including Over 3.5 goals, Over 12.5 corners & Over 5.5 cards - 25/1, Jobe Bellingham 3+ tackles, Nico Schlotterbeck 3+ tackles & Emre Can 3+ tackles - 5/1, Randal Kolo Muani 2+ shots on target & Fabio Silva 2+ shots on target - 9/1 and many more!
Our Total Goal Minutes spread betting quote is 142 - 152. So, for example, if there was a TGM make-up of 175, then a 'buy' bet at 152 would return 23x your stake. Or, a make-up of 128 would return 16x your stake on a 142 'sell' bet.
However, a 'buy' at 152 would result in a 152x loss with a make-up of 0 if there were no goals, or a 52x loss if the market made-up at 100. Make sure to use our Spread Betting Calculator to ensure you are comfortable with all potential make-ups when spread betting.
In terms of Price Boosts, Spreadex have several live, including: Randal Kolo Muani & Xavi Simons Both To Score - NOW 13/1, Micky van de Ven to Score a Header - NOW 15/1, Maximilian Beier to Score Anytime - NOW 5/2 and more!
