Arsenal in must-win FA Cup game at Portsmouth

A must-win FA Cup match for Arsenal, Middlesbrough aim to escape the relegation zone with a win over Nottingham Forest, and South Africa face Windies in the final Women’s T20 World Cup group game. It’s the Spread Bets of the Day!

1. Portsmouth v Arsenal – Eddie Nketiah SMM, 37-43
Out of the Europa League, and struggling to push for a place in Europe next season, the FA Cup is the last chance Mikel Arteta has to make something of his first (half) season in charge at Arsenal.

The Gunners haven’t been too convincing in the competition so far, with a 1-0 victory over Leeds followed by a 2-1 win at Bournemouth. They’ve been dealt a fairly fortunate draw once again, traveling to Portsmouth for a 5th round fixture at 7.45pm on BT Sport.

Pompey – who are chasing automatic promotion to the Championship – have been in the FA Cup since the very 1st round, moving past Harrogate, Altrincham, Fleetwood and Barnsley en route to Monday night.

If previous cup selections are anything to go by, then Arteta could field a more youthful side at Fratton Park. Eddie Nketiah will be hoping so, at least. The 20-year old, recalled from Leeds in January, scored against Bournemouth and sits at a SMM spread of 37-43.

Then again, given the FA Cup is now Arsenal’s last chance of silverware this season, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang may be the preferred option. He sits at a rather substantial SMM spread of 62-72.

2. Middlesbrough v Nottingham Forest – Middlesbrough/Forest Goal Supremacy, -0.1-0.1
Monday’s meeting between Middlesbrough and Nottingham Forest – at 7.45pm on Sky Sports Main Event – is pretty important for both sides.

Victory for the hosts – who last won a game on New Year’s Day – would lift them out of the relegation zone and push them into 19th place. The impact of all 3 points would be less immediate for Forest; however, a win would help keep up the pressure on West Brom and Leeds.

Despite differing form – though not great, Sabri Lamouchi’s sides are doing far better than Boro – Spreadex is offering a choice Middlesbrough/Nottingham Forest Goal Supremacy spread of -0.1-0.1.

3. West Indies v South Africa – South Africa (W) to win match, 71.4-77
Though South Africa are guaranteed a spot in the Women’s T20 World Cup final 4, who they face will be decided by the result of Tuesday’s final group game, at 8am on Sky Sports Cricket.

Having beaten England, a win over the West Indies would push Proteas to the top of Group B, setting up a semi against hosts Australia. A loss would instead see them face India.

South Africa are heavy favourites at a binary to win spread of 71.4-77, meaning a victory would make you 23 times your initial stake if you bought at that price.
