World no. 1 Judd Trump continues his quest to capture his first English Open – this is only the 4th edition of the competition, with Trump losing in the inaugural final – in the 2nd round against Welsh boy Daniel Wells.

After breezing past former World Champion Peter Ebdon 4-0 in the 1st round, Trump probably won’t need to break a sweat on Wednesday. Spreadex are offering a Trump/Wells 10-3 Supremacy spread, where the winner gets 10 points plus a further 3 points for every frame they win by.

2. Stan Wawrinka vs Feliciano Lopez – Wawrinka/Lopez Game Supremacy, 0.9-1.9
Entering the competition in the 2nd round thanks to being the 4th seed, Stan Wawrinka will be looking to get his European Open off to a winning start against Feliciano Lopez on Wednesday evening.

The Swiss star is expected to win the tie, and sits at a Wawrinka/Lopez Game Supremacy spread of 0.9-1.9.

3. Gilles Simon vs Jo-Wilfried Tsonga – Tsonga 2-1, 19-26.4
Having beaten Lorenzo Sonego 6-3 6-4 in the 1st round, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga moves onto an all-French 2nd round against Gilles Simon.

It could be a tougher match for both men, and might see it stretched to 3 sets. Spreadex has Tsonga at a 2-1 binary spread of 19-26.4, compared to Simon’s 9-16.7.
